POV:Lëiani
I woke up to being in a dark room. I liked the fact the room was painted green and brown, because now it's pitch black when the lights off.I sat in bed, looking up at the dark roof. I can't believe that this is my life now. I'm really never going back home.
Just then someone walked through my door. Whoever it was flicked on the light, making my eyes burn.
"What the fuck!" I covered my eyes.
"Oh I'm sorry. I was just coming to tell you your phone was ringing." Norm said.
"Really you turned on the light for that?" I wanted to stab him. He's so fucking annoying.
He then flicked the light off.
"Norm turn the damn light on!" I brushed my fingers through my hair. He instantly turned it back on.
"Also um, you have to meet the Sully family in a few, so you might want to get ready."
"Okay get the fuck out." He walked out. I threw my head back, taking my pillow. I covered my face, screaming into my pillow.
Just then my door opened again. I took my pillow off my face, throwing it. "Norm get the fuck out!"
It wasn't Norm, it was Neteyam and Lo'ak.
"Oh, you guys aren't Norm." I said.
"Definitely not." Lo'ak laughed. "I'd probably kill myself if I was." He threw the pillow back on my bed.
"That's awful, but true." I shrugged. "What are you guys doing in here anyways?" I asked.
"We wanted to come and hang out if that's alright with you?" Neteyam asked.
"No. Go mess with Spider or Norm." I shooed them.
"Why are you so mean? Have you never had friends before?" Neteyam asked.
I didn't answer. I always made friends, just never kept them. It was hard to keep them when all they did was stab me in my back.
"Yeah you definitely haven't had friends." Neteyam nodded.
"Well anyone I ever considered a friend betrayed me. I have every reason to not trust people."
"Well we're not people. You can trust us." Lo'ak walked closer.
"Yeah but you're Toruk Makto's kids, not my friends. My mission is to protect you from harm, not make friends."
"Well if you're going to be with us all the time, I want to get to know you. You're going to be here for a long time right?" Lo'ak asked.
I nodded my head.
"Okay so, little by little I'll try to get you to open up to us. You can't be a stranger. Trust me, I'll be your friend, and so will he." He pointed at Neteyam. "Right Neteyam?"
"Right."
"See? So can we be friends?" Lo'ak asked.
I hesitated. I looked Neteyam. He shrugged. I let out a sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose.
"Sure." I said.
"Sure what?" Lo'ak smiled. I rolled my eyes. He just wanted to hear me say it.
"We can...we can be.....friends." I sighed.
"Good. See that wasn't too hard was it?" Lo'ak asked.
"Lo'ak. Stop talking to me like I'm a kid." I demanded. He raised his hands in surrender. I threw the cover off me, standing up. I began to stretch.
