Warnings:

POV:Lëiani
I woke up to it being at least 7 in the morning. I don't know why I keep waking up so early. Back at home, I'd wake up around 3 or 4 in the afternoon.

I rolled out of bed. There's no way I'm going back to bed. I need to be productive and do something.

I grabbed my backpack. I opened my bag and grabbed my makeup bag. I curled my lashes and did my eyebrows. That's it. I brushed through my thick brown hair.

Brushing my hair takes so long because of how long my hair is. I have to start at the ends and work my way up. So annoying.

I then grabbed a white croptop that cut down to my cleavage. I paired it with a pair of light pink basketball shorts.

My hair is so messy but I don't even care. Who do I have to impress?

I decided to take my time to paint my nails and toes since they started to chip. I was having a hard time deciding between pink and white. I ended up choosing white. White just looks good with my skin tone.

I waited for them to dry. After they did I decided to grab my book and go outside. Once I stepped outside I took that one deep breath, breathing in the ocean breeze.

I feel like I'm in a movie. Maybe Moana. This doesn't seem real at all.

I jumped off the bungee walk, landing on the sand. The sand was warm and squishy. Living here isn't actually so bad. It's like Bora Bora. I've always wanted to go to Bora Bora.

That was my dream honeymoon. Too bad things have changed. Living here is like living in Bora Bora though. The water, the huts, the grassy mountains in the distance. Everything.

I guess I am lucky.

I continued walking down the shore until I found somewhere to sit.

I sat on a large rock. It was circular. Also very smooth. I've never seen a smooth rock before. Not like this one. Especially a rock that's the size of an elephant.

The rock was warm like the sand. The sky around me got brighter, the sun shining down on my face. A giant cloud had moved out the way, revealing the sun. The suns heat sent goosebumps through out my body.

I love heat. Absolutely love it. When I feel heat, I always need more. I get too used to the hot feeling that I need more. It's indescribable.

Weird. I'm weird.

I just don't get myself sometimes. Anyways, I opened the familiar book I brought with me. I've already read this book but it's the only one I have. It's Verity by Colleen Hoover.

I absolutely adore this book.
(I recommend this book if you haven't read it)

I'm not complaining about reading it again. I'm sure I'd read it a million times more. It's crazy to think that there's people out there, living their lives, not reading this book.

I looked up when I heard commotion. There were some village people walking around. They had nets and spears. I guess they're going hunting.

A lot of them were staring at me, especially the women. Very judgmental. I sometimes tend to forget that I have this giant scar on my face. I quickly snapped my head back to my book.

My hair fell in front of my face, covering it. I hate that sometimes I become aware of my scar. It's one of my biggest insecurities. I used to get made fun of for it.

Suddenly I was pushed to the ground.

"Freak!" Todd laughed.

His jock friends did as well. Todd is a jock who plays football and uses girls as toys. Any jock you've seen in movies, that's how he acts.
