"Yeah! I'd like to be friends with him! Ooh, and maybe he could join Monster School, it's been so long since we've had a new member, and not gonna lie, it get boring with you guys." Zombie prattled on about this Skeleton, while Creeper had no choice but to listen. He rolled his eyes at his stupid behaviour. Not that he didn't mind listening to the undead, it just... got a little boring sometimes.

"Bro, as much as I want a new student as well, what if he's hostile? You did mention he had a bow pointed at you, and you don't know what the enchantments are." This seemed to shut him up, he didn't particularly want an arrow wound in his shoulder. Zombie winced that the thought - he'd learnt that first hand the hard way, and it was partly the reason that Herobrine was so protective of them.

Creeper seemed to feel the tension that had formed so he began talking about something else to lighten the mood.

"Anyway, how did you find the test?" And in an instant, the gloomy atmosphere had vanished, leaving Zombie ranting about how difficult the test was and how Herobrine shouldn't expect him to know all that.

Creeper just sighed, smiled and walked along with him, knowing fully well that he was going to have to listen to this for a while. Not that he minded.

=====

Skeleton sat at the base of a tree, his vision fading as he closed his eyes. He was grateful for his helmet and the protection that the tree gave him.

He thought about the mobs that he'd met last night. Was he supposed to know the white eyed one? He wasn't sure at this point. The dude had looked like a Player, he hated Players...

They said they weren't going to hurt him. It could have been a lie, but they didn't seem like they were lying.

Skeleton knew that he'd have to get shelter, and he knew how to build just fine.
He just didn't know how long the resource gathering would take, and he was tired.

"Whatever... I'll figure it out tomorrow." He muttered, before leaning his head against the tree trunk and letting sleep get the better of him. A slight smile grazed his face as he dreamed of his parents, and his sister, and the odd mobs he had met earlier. It was basically escaping his reality, his mind making something that would appease him.

=====

"Am..- am I really gonna wake him up??" Skeleton jolted awake once again to the voice of someone in front of him.
Reaching out for his bow, his eyes shot open as he realised that it wasn't where he'd left it.

It was being held by a Zombie, the same Zombie as before. Didn't he get the damn warning last time?! Wasn't being threatened with a bow enough to keep him the fuck away?! Seeing that Skeleton was now awake, he didn't seem as brave as before.

"Give me my bow back." He said, standing up to face him directly. It wasn't much of a threat, considering that they were the same height, but Skeleton had a piercing cold stare that scared Zombie to a degree. It reminded him of one of his friends, and he sure as hell didn't want to get on the bad side of them. He'd done that once, and Zombie had woken up to his place flooded. He didn't even have anywhere to keep water, so it must've been put there. He found said friend outside with a smug smirk on his face.

"Bloody hell, you have the same icy stare as Wither-"

"Are you comparing me to a Wither Skeleton?!"

Zombie backed off slightly and raised one of his hands again in defence. Not that it was really necessary, he had Skeleton's bow, but he didn't know if the other mob could fight.

"No! Well, kinda, but that's not the reason I'm here. I would like to ask if you'd join Monster School!" Skeleton looked wearily at him; not only did he threaten to attack him, this, Zombie was inviting him to a school? This guy was so straight forward, if not slightly insane. Inviting someone you didn't even know to you school...? Skeleton would never admit it, but that was some serious bravery right there.

"I..- I didn't come out here to learn. I came here to-" He hesitated; was he going to tell this Zombie his life story?

No.

"My reasons are not important. Give me my fucking bow back." Zombie seemed to understand that this time, it wasn't a warning; it was a threat, and he handed Skeleton's bow back.

"Thank you. But before I even think about joining a school, I need to get my priorities straight. First; I need a house.
Second; I-"

"You could live with me! Not as..- not romantically, obviously, but like roommates!" Zombie said, grinning, his eyes sparkling.
Skeleton sighed, he wanted to laugh, but didn't know if he should, considering the circumstances.

"You are incredibly trusting, you know that, right? I could be a mad murderer?"

"If you were, you would have attempted to kill me by now." Attempted? Did he have someone that would save him? Skeleton wasn't sure, other than he was going to this random Zombie's house.

"So what's your name, what should I call you?"

"Uh, you can just call me Skeleton... you?"

"Zombie! I'm so glad we can be friends!"

...Friends?...

=====

Oh woe before me, I'm still awake. And I appear to be making the chapters longer.
