Loki's Daughter

Chapter 3

Alison's P.O.V.

It's been a few months since I've joined SHEILD and only having Matthew know about everything. I got a call from Fury saying that things had started happening early and that they needed me in New York. Thankfully Trish and Chris wanted to visit Ryan while he was playing hockey, so the whole family decided to go with them. "Come on Ali, we gotta go" Chris said, waiting for me with the front door open "coming" I said as I jogged towards the door. In these last week I've also gotten closer with uncle Thor again, which I'm very happy about.

I had my suit that Tony made for me on under my sweat pants and shirt, I didn't know if I'd be needed so I put it on just in case something happened while I was at the game. The suit was like Natasha's, but has green instead of red and it some how helped me with my powers. I got into the back seat of the car, claiming a window seat, with Dylan and Matthew. I grabbed my ear piece and put it in, thankfully nobody saw it and didn't ask any questions.

We found a parking spot and then made our way into the arena, showing security our tickets and then making our way to our seats, shortly after the game had started. Half way through the first period I heard a bunch of commotion through my ear piece, I put my hand over the ear that didn't have the ear piece in it so I could hear better. "Alison, you there?" I heard Steve ask, I started cheering, making sure I added a 'yeah' in there so he knew I heard him "ok, we need you to come in, we captured Loki and we need you to help us try and break him" he told me. I froze when I heard him say my fathers name, I quickly snapped out of it when I heard the whistle blow down on the ice. I got up "I'll be right back guys, I'm just going to the bathroom" I said, shuffling my way out of the aisle and towards the bathroom. "How long have you guys had him?" I asked, I had put my phone to my ear so the people around me didn't think I was crazy. "We got him about 15 minutes ago, we need you here kid. You're his weak spot" Fury said through the ear piece "ok, I'll be there as soon as I can" I told them. I quickly texted Matthew, telling him what's going on, and to not be alarmed when he sees my hologram come back, he texted back with a "be safe."

I teleported myself up to the helicarri0r and walked into the meeting room. "So what's going on?" I asked once I bursted through the doors, stopping right next to uncle Thor "I don't understand, it's almost like he wanted to be caught" Bruce questioned, making everyone mumble in agreement I saw some movement on the table so I looked down and saw some security footage of dad in his cell. After Fury explained to dad what the cell did and what would happen if he tried to get out, dad made a comment before looking at the camera, so we all knew we were the ones the comment was for. "He really grows on ya doesn't he?" Bruce joked "Loki's going to drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve asked "he has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard, nor any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth, in return, I suspect, for the Tesseract" uncle Thor stated "an army from outer space" Steve sighed "so he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for" Bruce started saying "Selvig?" Uncle Thor questioned "he's a astrophysicist" Bruce told him "he's a friend" uncle Thor stated "Loki has them under some kind of spell, along with one of ours" Natasha said "I wanna know why Loki let us take him? He's not leading an army from here" Steve stated "I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guys brain is a bag full of cats, you can smell crazy on him" Bruce stated "have care how you speak, Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard. And he is my brother, and her father" uncle Thor said defensively "he killed 80 people in two days" Natasha told him "he's adopted" uncle Thor said uncertainly.

We continued talking about this for a few minutes before Fury came into the room, "ok kid. You're up" he said, waving me over and brought me to the room where the holding cell was "we'll leave you two alone, but we'll be just outside the door to make sure you're ok" he told me. I nodded my head before opening the door, quietly walking in. "You know there's not many people who can sneak up on me" He said, slowly turning towards me "well I guess I need to practice, I did a hell of a good job when I was little" I said making him fully turn around quickly "Alison?" He whispered "hi dad, long time no see" I said, standing straighter and putting my hands behind my back. "How did they find you? Are you ok? Have they hurt you?" He fired a bunch of questions one after another as he came closer to the glass "they have always kept a tab on me, seeing as how I'm the daughter of a powerful god. I'm fine, I'm not hurt" I told him with a small smile, he smiled back and put his hand on the glass. "Dad, what's going on?" I asked, as I relaxed and took a few steps closer to him "why are you doing this?" I whispered. He didn't say anything and put his head down "come on man, this isn't like you. If you don't want to talk to them you could at least tell your own flesh and blood what's going on and why you're choosing to blow up the planet she lives on" I said, getting annoyed at the fact that he hasn't said anything yet. He quickly looked up at me "that's what you think? That I'm choosing to do this?" He asked defensively "we'll that's how it looks" I said "you're absolutely delusional if that's what you think. I don't have a choice in this, I didn't even know you were here until just now. I haven't known where you were for the last 5 years, and if I'd had known you were here things would be different. If you hadn't been taken from me things wouldn't be like this!" He shouted, startling me. I took a few steps back, he seemed to have calmed down a little bit when he saw my wide eyes "no, no, no, no, no. Please don't be scared, baby" he said in a softer tone "it's fine. You know what? I've gotta get home. The family I'm staying with is probably wondering where I am right now" I said before turning around and walking out of the room "there's part of your answer" I told Fury as I walked past him quickly. Natasha went into the room right after I left to try and get a little bit more information out of him, hopefully she could. I made my way over to the lab where Tony and Bruce were working and I sat down on one of the empty chairs and started talking with them a little bit, I didn't say to much, my mind still dealing with what just happened. After a few minutes of talking Fury walked in "what are you doing Mr. Stark?" He asked "um, kinda wondering the same thing about you" Tony said "you're supposed to be locating the tesseract" Fury said "we are. The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. And when we get a hit, we'll have a location within half a mile" Bruce told him as he pointed towards the computer near the back of the room. "Yeah, then you get your cube back. No muss, no fuss. What is phase 2?" Tony asked "phase 2 is S.H.E.I.L.D. uses the cube to make weapons. Sorry, computer was moving a little slow for me" Steve said as he dropped a large weapon on the metal table. "Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean we're making..." Fury started saying before Tony cut him off "I'm sorry Nick, what were you lying?" He turned the computer screen towards the rest of us "I was wrong Director. The world hasn't changed a bit" Steve said. Just then uncle Thor and Natasha walked into the lab "did you know about this?" Bruce asked them "you wanna think about removing yourself from this environment Doctor?" Natasha asked "I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed" he laughed "Loki is manipulating you" she told him "and you've been doing what exactly?" He questioned her "you didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you" she said "yes and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why S.H.E.I.L.D. is using the tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction" Bruce asked "because of him" Fury said as he pointed to uncle Thor "me?" Uncle Thor asked "last year earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned" Fury told us "my people want nothing but peace with your planet" uncle Thor told him "but you're not the only people out there, are you? And you're not the only threat. The world is filling up with people who can't be matched, that can't be controlled" Fury shot back "like how you controlled the cube?" Steve asked "your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is a signal to all the realms that the earth is really for a higher form of war" uncle Thor told him "a higher form?" Steve question "you forced our hand, we had to do something" Fury said "a nuclear deterrent. Because that always calms everything right down" Tony said sarcastically "remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark" Fury asked. I got off my chair and made my way over to uncle Thor and put my hand on his arm to get his attention "what's going on? Why is everyone turning on each other?" I asked quietly so I wouldn't disturb the others "they're fighting because of your father" he told me as he pulled me into his side and gave me a hug.

As the others were arguing I made my way over to the large window and looked out, my gut telling me something bad was about to happen. "Guys" I said, nobody heard me "um, guys" I said a little bit louder. But I was interrupted by the computer beeping, I had moved away from the window and stood next to Natasha, Bruce walked over to it to see what was going on "oh my god" he whispered. Just then there was a giant explosion somewhere on the ship, causing all of us to fall down and for Natasha, Bruce and I to fall down to the floor below us. 'Damn it, not now' I thought to myself. I looked over at Bruce and saw that he was getting angry and turning green, that can't be good. I slowly got up and pushed the pipe off of Natasha's foot and helped her get up. "Bruce?" We both whispered as we saw him look back at us with sad eyes before he fully turned into the hulk. We both started to run away, but Bruce thought it would be a good idea to start chasing us. We both made it half way up the stairs before we had to jump up to the runway above us before Bruce ripped the stairs from under our feet.

After a few minutes of running and hiding, everything got quite. So we tiptoed around as we both kept an eye out for him, just as we turned a small corner he saw us and let out a loud yell. Natasha shot one of the pipes above his head, causing some smoke to spray him in the face. We both started running down a lit up walk way, Bruce crashing everything as he followed us, when we got to the end of the run way he had caught up to us and swung his arm, causing the both of us to go flying into the wall. Just before Bruce came back towards us, uncle Thor flew by and took Bruce with him, leaving Natasha and I alone. "Are you ok? You hurt?" She asked, I could tell that she was also traumatized by what just happened and that she was worried about me. "I don't know" I whispered, completely traumatized about what just happened. Just then I felt the ship start to move sideways "it's Barton, he took out our systems. He's headed for the detention level. Does anybody copy?" Fury asked through the ear piece "this is agent Romanoff, I copy" Natasha said before getting up "stay here" she said as she got up and ran off to where my dad was being held. I didn't argue with her, but I didn't want to be here anymore so I just teleported myself back home, now is usually the time everyone is starting to get home from the game.

Before anyone else could find me and get to me, I teleported back to Ryan's house. When I got to the the front of the house I took a few deep breaths, I used my powers to make my face look like I wasn't just beaten up and then walked inside. "Hey honey, I thought you were in your room" Trish asked as I made my way past the living room. "I was, but I forgot something in the car" I told her with a forced smile, holding up a small bag. "Oh, ok. Are you feeling ok? You look a little worn down" she asked as she got off the couch and made her way over to me and felt my forehead "yeah, I'm just feeling a little under the weather, I think I'm just going to head to bed now" I told everybody as I made my way up to the room I was staying in for the duration of our stay.

A few seconds after I closed the door and took a few steps into the room, the door opened again revealing Matt. "What's going on? Are you ok?" Matt asked as he came into my room "no, not really" I nervously laughed a little bit before some tears came out of my eyes. He quickly came over and gave me a hug "what's going on?" He asked after a few minutes of silence "I saw my dad for the first time in 5 years tonight" I told him as I pulled away from the hug. "Oh?" He questioned "it's not exactly the reunion I'd thought it would be" I say with a bitter laugh "was it that bad?" He asked "not only was it bad, I just didn't expect that when I saw him again he would be locked in a cell and angrier then a bag of shaken bags at everyone around him. I also didn't expect to almost get beaten to a pulp by the Hulk because my dad decided to get him angry and almost destroy the whole ship" I told him before taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly "I'm sorry Ali" he said before hugging me again "thanks Matty" I sighed. Just then my pager beeped, letting me know that it's time for war "no, no, no!" I whined "what's going on?" He asked "I have to go, there's a war that's about to start" I told him "can you just tell your mom and dad that I don't want to be disturbed, that if they need to check on me can you do it?" I asked "of course. Be careful" he said "always" I smiled before I teleported away.

Never in the last 5 years did I think that this was going to be the way I would meet dad again, but it was. And if I'm telling the truth, I'm pretty disappointed in how it happened.

I showed up where Steve, Natasha and Clint were standing on the ground. "Right, aliens" I said as I looked over at Steve. "Let's go" he said as we all made our way to the fight.
