Mi seh afta mi tell the likkle big head man seh mi go call him

After that wi did good fi bout a week him call mi every night and as mi phone ring ah night time yuh see Lani she start smile Mi seh she smart enuh ah soon sen har gah school

Ah whole two Raatid week now Mi nuh hear from di likkle termite , so Mi juss avoid him mi try mi best nuffi run into him .

Today Mi get ready extra early , mi comb Lani hair enah two puff with black and white bows .

She did have on wah black blouse , with tie-dye shorts and black Ugg slippers .

Her diaper bag was already packed with a fresh bottle of tea , and her juice with her animal crackers.

Don't worry we break it in two and let her have small portions to avoid choking .

She had two extra outfits in her bag , I kissed her forehead

Got in the car and started driving towards the entrance of the community ,

I locked my car door and looked at the corridor seeing him , I rolled my eyes and hissed my teeth .

I walked around the other side of the steps just to not have him say anything to me cause God know him woulda affi fire me pon spot affi mi done wid him

He just avoided my calls and texts for two weeks shit , that's fine with me but he got my baby attached now every time my phone rings she thinks it's him

" Ms. Wright ?" I rolled my eyes and slowly turned around making it sure I was annoyed by his voice

" Yes Doctor Shaw ? What can I help you with?" I asked blinking at him at each question

I'm really sorry Doctor , It's 8:30 I'm supposed to be signing in now excuse me"

It was only 8:14 but do I care ? Nope

I cut off what he was going to say , faking a smile and walking through the lab door

I spoke to my supervisor, she smiled and nodded letting me quickly step out the lab.

I approached the car smiling , he handed me her bag and unlocked the door so I could take her out

Jude watched as we walked away , driving to park his Mark X under the big tree .

I kissed her cheeks and brought her to the area , Nurse Lee smiled at me calling me to the front .

She quickly registered her and told us to wait for the doctor

Mi ah hope and pray to God seh ah doh dah likkle crawsis deh

" Nurse ah who ah deh pon duty as Doctor todeh?" I asked stopping her as she walked by me

" Ummm.... It's Doctor Shaw , Grant and Stewart Pediatric doctor is on the ward so Doctor Stewart will take over for him .

I raised my hand , walking towards the direction I was pointed to. She laid her head in my neck as we entered the office, they dressed her in the baby gown and started the process

" Morning Dr. Stewart"

15 mins. Later

I walked out the office with Lani , as I stepped out I was faced with Mr.Rome Shaw 🙄

Milani stretched her hands to him and started crying , mi cyah tek dah likkle girl yah enuh mon

Rome took her from me , as she laid her head on his shoulder sniffing. The patients smiled and cooed at how quick she stopped crying once he took her .

I started walking out , knowing Rome was following behind me . I glanced back at her to see him rubbing her back smiling at her ,

We were on the main corridor, Lani was still laying on him . We were now in the waiting area , all patients looked at us some seeming happy to see the Doctor .

I took her and she immediately lifted her head and looked at Rome , he walked a bit closer to us kissing her forehead before telling her

" Be good to mommy"

I wanted to smile but mi nuh enah no laughing ting wid him

" A your baby ?" One of the pediatric nurses asked watching Lani lay her face in my neck .

I smiled and nodded to her

I walked out the hospital kissing her face and telling them bye as Jude rolled the window up .
