Chapter 18

Rome's POV

I was planning on asking Sahari to be my girlfriend but I didn't know how

I never was really looking for a girlfriend but when I met her she made me change my mind

I loved everything about her , how she takes care of Milani and how she treats others

I know sometimes she has a bit of a mug on her face but she's so sweet once you get to know her

So I planned to take her out today , I told her to wear casual clothes.

I'm dressed in a Nike shirt blue ripped jeans and black & white low dunks

My hair was let out today , my hair flowed down to my mid-back .

I saw Sahari's Jeep , I immediately walked over to it

I was feeling a bit nervous and shy .

We were at this park with a pond , I had set up a picnic close to the water where we could watch the ducks

I helped her out the car , and pulled her into a hug

Her outfit was really good , it was so simple yet she made it look hot .

She really is beautiful ✨

I kissed the side of her face and I felt her hands on my waist .

" You smell good- we said at the same time and we started laughing

Great minds think alike

I held her hand and brought her close to the pond . Her smile grew and she squealed running towards the little area I prepared

" This is so beautiful" I smiled at her , and she walked towards the water to watch the ducklings

I never thought she would love it this much , I knew that she was never really an outside girl growing up but I'm glad this made her day

I brought her to the blankets , I handed her a pillow and allowed her to sit .

" Rome thank you , it  means a lot I've actually never had a picnic date I've always found it cute thank you"

" It's no problem ma , I was actually nervous about you being here knowing you aren't really outside"

She fed me strawberries, she scooted closer to me and I gently pulled her to my side letting my right arm fall around her while using the left to pick up a snack

I handed her a bouquet and she smiled seeing it but it immediately dropped , her eyes started watering

I started to feel bad , I didn't want to make her cry

What she did surprised me , she kissed my lips and hugged me yelling

" Yes I'll be your girlfriend"

Oh Thank God

I pulled away and she sat in my lap , I wiped her tears away and she smiled before she looked sad again

" Ummmm..... d-don't you h-have a problem with me having Milani ?" She stuttered while fiddling with her nails

" Mami stop it ...... Why would I have a problem? I love Milani , like my own baby"

She started crying , I rubbed her back and wiped away her tears kissing her eyes

" Mama I don't want you crying , stop it"

Her hair was in a ponytail, I moved the hair so it doesn't ruin the fish braid .

Lori , is the reason I have my knowledge on braids and hairstyles

It feels like I'm hurting inside when I see her tears , Sahari what are you doing to me ?

I kissed her lips softly , she kissed back and I gently pulled away pecking her again

I kiss my way to her jaw , I heard her whimper and I smirked pulling away .

We finished the picnic , talking about our childhood and learning everything about her

We packed up and got tutti frutti , when she was getting ready to leave .

I pulled her back to me , kissing her all the way to her neck

I felt her shift in my arms , found it her weak spot is her neck

I pecked her lips again and walked her to her car , I felt so happy that she was my girlfriend .

Today was everything, from learning about each other to us having the best time . I'd love to do it again

Man ...Sahari I just hope she's the one for me
