08 | bruises

hyunjin walked into his next class and saw jisung calling him over to sit next to him. he smiled as he walked over and sat next to jisung.

"hi hyunjin!" jisung said with a wide smile on this face.

"hey, did we have any homework for this class?" hyunjin asks while placing his bag down on the desk.

"no, i don't think so. the teacher went to go use the bathroom though, so we can do whatever we want for a few." jisung explained and the other nodded.

hyunjin took out a bag of snacks and showed jisung, "you want? it's candy." he said, and jisung looked at him before willingly talking a few candies from the other.

"i heard jeongin came over to your house." jisung brought up, and hyunjin slightly smiled.

"yeah...taught him how to sketch and we watched a movie afterwards!"

"that sounds like fun!"

hyunjin laughed, "it was! i'm wondering if anyone else in your group would wanna come over?"

jisung widened his eyes, "you're not like...inviting me and the boys over, right?"

hyunjin could t help but giggle at the other's reaction, "i'm definitely inviting you and the boys. i feel like it's unfair if only of one of you guys get to come over."

jisung softened, "you're so sweet hyunjin, i'm almost gonna cry." he spoke, while wiping a fake tear from his cheek.

"oh shut up, ask everyone else if they would like it come, yeah?" hyunjin said, jisung nodded with a wide smile on his face.

"he's inviting us over?! oh my gosh!" felix screeched and couldn't help his excitement from overflowing around the classroom.

"chill felix!" chan said, and felix stopped running around the classroom and apologized before his face lit up with excitement again.

"i can't believe this, i'm going to hyunjin's house! i'm going to the pretty boy's house!" felix quietly said, being aware of the others who were telling him to quiet down.

"guys let me just tell you, his house is huge! and very modern too. super organized, and his room is like twice the size as mine!" jeongin joined in from experience, which made everyone even more excited.

"well your room is pretty small." minho spoke, and jeongin turned to him with a frown.

"shush, minho! fine, his room is three times the size as my room!"

minho chuckled and chan smiled as well, "you guys are too excited to go to someone's house."

"it's hyunjin's, what do you expect?"

"yeah! he's so pretty and perfect, and just so—argh!" felix was going crazy at the thought of himself being at hyunjin's houses. he just didn't believe it.

"alright, i'm excited too, but felix, you're way too excited." minho said, and the freckled face boy couldn't help but smile.

"i just want to go already!"

after school ended, hyunjin went over to his brother's hangout spot, only to find out he wasn't there. he didn't think much of it, so he went to the empty classroom where chan and his group always hang out at.

he entered the room and suddenly felt someone hug him almost immediately, it was felix. the boy didn't know how to react, so he hugged him back.

"hyunjin, oh my gosh! thank you so much for inviting us over to your house! you don't know how excited i seriously am!" felix exclaimed and the boy laughed.

"it's nothing big, felix. you haven't been to a friends house before?" hyunjin asked, and felix let go of the hug.

"of course i did! but, you're different. jeongin was just telling us how big and modern your house looked! and plus, this is my first time going to such a pretty boy's house!"

jisung got up from his seat, "yah, are you saying we aren't pretty?!"

"compared to hyunjin, yes." felix teased, but then immediately apologized after seeing the look on jisung's face that screamed, 'you better run.'

hyunjin smiled, "i think you're all good looking in your own ways, there's no need to compare."

jeongin proceeded to fake faint after hearing what hyunjin just said, "he's so perfect..." he then mumbled, and the others couldn't help but laugh.

"well, school has ended already...i have to go find my little brother and you guys all can come over with us."

"yes yes please!"

"you have a little brother?! oh my gosh!"

hyunjin called riki a few times, but there was no answer. at this point, he started to get a little worried until he saw one of riki's friends passing by. he immediately ran up to him.

"hey, wait up! sunoo, right? do you know where riki is? he hasn't been picking up my calls and we need to get back home before.."

"riki? oh, i saw him going into the alleyway right next to the school. i'm not sure if i saw anyone else with him though." sunoo replied, and hyunjin's eyes widened.

"thank you so much sunoo, have a good day!" hyunjin said before running off to the alleyway.

he ran as fast as he could with his friends following behind confused.

just as he made it, he saw his younger brother in the floor with a black eye and a bruised up lip.

"riki!" hyunjin shouted and ran up to him. he grabbed his arms and forced him to sit upright. he saw how badly injured his face was, and his heart almost shattered into a million pieces.

"h-hyunjin.." riki replied weakly.

"what happened?!"

as riki was explaining everything, hyunjin couldn't help but fume in anger. he hated seeing his little brother badly injured like this, he didn't deserve it.

"gosh, those people are so lucky their younger than me."

riki nodded before noticing the group of men behind hyunjin who were just staring in pure shock.

"who are they?"

hyunjin turned around and completely forgot about the others, "i'm so sorry you guys had to witness this. but riki, these are my friends. i invited them all over to our house."

"oh, that's nice. i should've invited my friends over too..."

"you can if you want."

"really? i need to get myself fixed up first, i can't have them seeing me like this. my beautiful face is ruined."
