Toni blushed and looked down embarrassed as she rushed past Cheryl and ran down the stairs she quickly grabbed her coat and walked out the door
Cheryl ran after her but it was too late she had already disappeared: oh shit I'm in shit street with Lauren she said frantically pacing around the living room She couldn't just leave and look for Toni as Layla was asleep upstairs so she just sat down on the sofa and waited for Lauren to turn up
At 1.30 am Lauren walked through the door and Cheryl stood up ready to explain Toni had run off
Cheryl: Toni has decided to - she couldn't finish her sentence before Lauren interrupted her
Lauren: I know you let her go to Veronicas for the night I mean she was meant to be grounded but I didn't tell you so it isn't your fault
Cheryl sighed from relief as she now knew Toni was safe
Cheryl: I know I told you I quit but could I possibly have my job back I absolutely adore your girls and i think babysitting is for me after all she said smiling at Lauren
Lauren: of course you can the girls absolutely love having you around as much as Toni acts like she doesn't she admitted to me the other day that she liked you babysitting and I've never heard my daughter say that she said laughing
Cheryl: Thank you so much and I won't let you down this time I promise
Lauren: I'm glad to hear that but you didn't let me down in the first place I know you were in a funny head space your mum told me ..?.
Cheryl: yeah I know it just made me feel like I was letting you down
Lauren: you weren't anyway I'm glad you're back you and my daughters seem to be getting along really well
Cheryl: well Layla's amazing we get along really well bless her and Toni is a work in progress all she does is moan at me she said trying not to smirk but I'll have her talking to me in no time she said laughing
Lauren: yeah Toni is a very bitchy and hormonal teenager at the moment as you can probably tell
Cheryl: yeah I get it she's growing up and dealing with monthly periods believe me as a kid I was a devil because of it
Lauren didn't say anything she didn't know whether to tell Cheryl her daughter doesn't have periods and doesn't have girl parts but she stayed quiet as it was Toni's privacy
Cheryl: anyway she said awkwardly I've got to go but I'll be back tomorrow evening at 5.50 bye Lauren she said walking out the door and driving home
She got straight into bed and picked up her phone there was a message from an unknown number
Unknown: Hi sorry about earlier I was so embarrassed
Cheryl: who is this ?
Unknown: Toni topaz you idiot 😂😂
Cheryl: how do I know it's really you I didn't give you my number ?
Unknown: I stole it of my mum and does this help
