The Moon #3

It was my mistake no doubt ,
To have reached out to you once again ,
If only i knew things would go South,
I was left once again reminiscing of the pain you once gave .

There was no telling ,
That you would've left so soon ,
Or maybe i was just buying the lies you were selling,
Making me once again to be your fool .

I knew the person you were ,
I was waiting to see the change that you were boasting about.

That change never came,
Once again i was singing that unfamiliar tune,
The pain coming from the whips of your cane ,
Reminding me of that now so familiar tune.

In the end ,
Like the moon ,
You left once again so soon .

For the night to come again ,
Where i will face you once again .

To the moon i will say ,
You may come and go as you please ,
For i will not stay ,
Like a dog on a leash ,
Waiting to play ,
I will set myself free ,
Like a stray.
