Chapter 40

January 2019

Today was the big day. It was Jasmine's first birthday. It was going to be a big deal. Aurora was twenty weeks pregnant at this point so they were also going to be announcing the pregnancy. There was no way they'd really be able to hide her belly anymore. Zendaya and their families were the only ones who knew so they were excited to be able to share the news with all their friends.

Jasmine's birthday was in January so they were going to be having the party inside since it was a little too cold to do it outside. Aurora and Chris both wanted to go all out for her birthday even though they weren't inviting a large amount of people.

Decorators had been working on their living room all morning. They decided on a daisy theme so it was covered in balloons and flowers. They even bought a few games for the kids to enjoy. Chris's niece and nephews were coming along with some of Chris' friends kids. They hired caterers as well because they didn't really want to worry about cooking so that they could just enjoy their daughter's first birthday.

Harry and Tom had arrived yesterday and had been helping out since Chris didn't want Aurora to do any work. He had kept Aurora out of the living room all day, wanting to surprise her with what had been put together. She had instead spent the day getting herself and Jasmine ready for the party. About an hour before the party, Chris finally called Aurora out to see how everything looked before their guests arrived.

"Oh my god! Sweetheart! This is incredible!" Aurora looked around wide eyed.

"Nothing but the best for our little girl. Isn't that right my angel," he cooed to Jasmine who was in her mother's arms.

"Dada!" she squealed when he started poking her little belly. When he stopped, she stretched her arms out, asking him to carry her.

"Are you ready to party?" Tom said as she settled into his arms.

"Paty? Mama sing?"

"You love mama's singing don't you? Well mama has the best singing voice in the world and I'm sure she'll sing for you today."

Soon enough, their guests started arriving. They had invited their families, Aurora's best friends, and the Avengers cast. Everyone was blown away by the party that they had thrown for the birthday girl. Everyone had met Jasmine but they had only ever seen her at the Halloween party so they were excited to see her again.

"Where is the birthday girl?!" Scarlet shouted as soon as she entered the backyard.

"Scarlett!" Chris shouted excitedly. She was one of Chris' best and oldest friends but they didn't see each other often so he loved when they got to spend time together. They hugged each other tightly, both of them really missing each other. "I'm so glad you're here!"

"I've missed you!"

"I've missed you too," Chris smiled.

"Where's my niece?"

"She's with Harry. He got here yesterday and has been singing for her since so she's currently obsessed with him," Chris chuckled. Chris stepped away quickly to go get Jasmine from him and then went back to hand her to Scarlett. "Jasmine do you remember your Auntie Scar?"

"Hi sweetie! Happy birthday!"

"Sca!" Jasmine held her arms out to be carried by Scarlett.

"Oh my god you are so cute I want to die."

"Okay quit hogging her. It's my turn," Sebastian chuckled as he approached them. "Hi my sweet girl," he cooed to the little girl.

"Jasmine this is your Uncle Seb," Chris smiled.
