First time falling

Chapter 7

We get home and I open the door prepared to make a run for my bedroom, but I think they were prepared for that idea because kade lifted me up over his shoulder and sat me on the couch.
"You guys deal with this Ive had a long day and still lots of work to do." Connor says going upstairs
" I won't do this again I promise it was stupid OK? Please I dont wanna be grounded please just let it go" I say making puppy eyes at hayden
Elijah makes the hammer motion behind me. Signifying that Hayden needs to put his foot down for once because he's to soft on Taylor.

"Not this time sorry baby. What you did was reckless we had no idea where you were, we were worried, and to see that you were at a beach, I mean what were you even thinking" Hayden says
" yeah about that how did you even know" I say
" you don't need to know everything princess" Kade says
"No I wanna know" I say looking at Hayden, he wouldn't lie or keep anything from me.
" fine we downloaded a tracker when you got your phone" he says
"WHAT" I say in disbelief
"We did it as a safety precaution"  kade says
"Oh my gosh you guys are unbelievable, stop being so overprotective im not a child anymore,I should be allowed to stay home alone, I should be allowed to hang out with boys, I don't need a babysitter for everything and im not a kid anymore, I can make my own choices" I say letting a tear fall
"clearly you didn't make the right ones tonight, you left without telling us where you went, you dodged our text and calls, and not to mention the attitude right now. So no you will not be treated like an adult because you're not acting like one, you are a child." Kade says
"I HATE YOU" I say getting really mad and I wipe my tears running upstairs
"KNOCK OFF THE TYPICAL TEEN MOMENT" Kade yells as I slam my door
"she didn't mean it kade " Hayden says " just give her a minute to calm down"

It took me a while to calm down but a little while later i sighed and went on my phone for a bit, before it gets taken. I see a text from Hudson
Hudson: I had fun tonight I hope everything's Ok. Ttyl Grounded for a bit lol.🤟😑
Me: Had lots of fun to, thanks for the advice, told them how I felt.😬

I hear my door open and threw my phone under the covers. "Knock much" I say rolling my eyes
"Knock it off" elijah says and sighs sitting next to me
"You owe your brother an apology, You better be downstairs in five minutes with your phone laptop and everything."
He says sternly lifting up my blanket, he must've seen me throw my phone under there.
"This is mine for two weeks, id get used to not having a phone for a while." He says pocketing it and going back downstairs

Five minutes later I go downstairs and sit next to kade on the couch, " I don't hate you i was just mad OK, all you guys do is see me as a little kid. "
"You are a kid, it's our job to take care of you and watch over you" kade says
I sigh and just drop the subject because I can't argue about it anymore I just have to keep showing him I can be independent to.
"I didn't mean to yell i don't hate you I'm sorry, I was just mad OK? " I say as he nods
"I forgive you kiddo don't worry" He says pulling me into a hug with his big muscley arms.
" unfortunately you're still being punished, and I hate to be the one to punish you, so I'm leaving that up to Connor."

My mouth opens like my jaw dropped to the floor.
" do you remember when Hayden snuck out a couple years ago, he didn't see daylight for months, and he was an adult he was 18."
" yeah it's gonna suck just letting you know that now" he says ruffling my hair
" hit the sheets OK? They will talk to you about it tomorrow go give everyone a hug and go to bed, we don't go to bed angry in this household" he says standing up and putting his arm out for me to grab.
I get up go give Hayden and Elijah a hug "Sorry I scared you, goodnight" I say
"Don't do it again sweetie, we love you very much and just want you to be safe." Kade says as hayden smiles at me giving me a hug back as well as kade
" good night" I say as I walk upstairs and go to Connors room
"can I come in" I say as I knock
" i'm really sorry I was just mad and I want to show you I can make my own choices" I say as he motions for me to sit on his bed
" I know you're a teenager and you don't understand it right now, but we're hard on you because we love you we want you to make smart choices and be safe, I know that ur brother already talked to you about this, but I don't want this to happen again and I'm sorry that we fought to, I just want you to be safe thats all" he says hugging me and kissing my forehead.
" I know, but can I just have a little more freedom, im not a Little girl anymore" I say
" After what happened tonight, no not for a while, but in the future yes." He says as I nod hugging back.
" OK off to bed, see you in the morning babygirl" he says patting my back
I go to my room sigh and hit the sheets

The next morning
I was woken up early by kade, I forgot it was his day off today
" get up meet me downstairs im taking you to school" he says
After five minutes of prepping myself to get up I get dressed and go downstairs
"Hi Tay eat up okay" Hayden said as Connor gave me a list
" what is this" I say
" list of chores part of your punishment, now go get me your laptop and your iPad please your grounded for 3weeks " he says and I mouth opens widley
"Please thats to much" I say doing puppy eyes
" that's not gonna work go or I make it 4" Connor says as I go and get it
"Fine here!" I say annoyed
"Maybe you will think twice next time, now go to school" he says handing my phone back as I smile
" don't get too excited it's only for emergencies I turned off all your apps" he says as my smile drops

I went to school and it was a typical day I came home went to softball practice and did some work maybe if I focused on school this week I will get my stuff back faster
