"Bhaiya phir jeet gaye?" Vinod whines, his voice filled with mock frustration.

Tonight was game night, a cherished tradition among their group. The men were engrossed in playing the 100-card game, while the women watched and occasionally joined in the banter.

"Yeh meri galati nahin hai ki tum khel nahin sakate!" Prem laughs, teasing Vinod about his competitive spirit.

"Bhabhi dekho! Yeh cheating kar raha hai!" Vinod complains, trying to drum up support from the others as he tallies up the scores.

Prem shoots a mischievous glance at Preeti, silently signalling her to play along. Preeti responds with a small nod and a reassuring smile, knowing exactly what Prem has in mind.

"Usne kab cheating kiya?" Preeti asks with a playful grin, turning the tables on Vinod.

"Usne ek card uthaaya jo usaka nahin tha!" Vinod insists, pointing an accusing finger at Prem.

"Toh, yeh card aur yeh card aapka hai?" Preeti counters, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

"H-haan!" Vinod stammers his attempt at deception unravelling under Preeti's scrutiny.

"Accha? Kya yeh mera card nahin tha jise mainne 2 round pahale rakha tha?" Vivek interjects, adding to Vinod's embarrassment.

Vinod blushes furiously and sheepishly returns the "cheating cards" back to the deck, offering apologies as he does so. Meanwhile, Sadhana Bhabhi excuses herself to put Veer to sleep, leaving the men to continue their game while the women head to the kitchen to prepare some coffee. As Preeti and Sangeeta chat and giggle while making coffee, their conversation turns to light-hearted gossip about their respective husbands. Preeti shares a romantic anecdote, causing Sangeeta to squeal with excitement and curiosity.

"Shh! Koi sun lega!" Preeti laughs, trying to keep their conversation discreet.

Little do they know, Prem overhears their entire conversation, struggling to suppress a smirk as he listens in on their girlish chatter. Vivek notices Prem's amusement and nudges him, prompting him to share the source of his amusement.

"Kuch nahi bhaiya," Prem replies, trying to play it cool while inwardly relishing the intimate conversation he overheard.

In the kitchen, Preeti and Sangeeta chuckled as they prepared the coffee.

"So, then what happened?" Sangeeta asked eagerly, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Preeti blushed, stirring the coffee mixture. "Well, then he surprised me with chocolates," she confessed, a smile playing on her lips.

Sangeeta laughed, leaning in closer. "I'm starting to think chocolate plays a major role in your marriage," she teased.

Just then, Sadhana Bhabhi entered the kitchen, joining their conversation. "Sugar's here," she announced, placing the sugar jar on the counter.

Preeti nodded her thanks and continued, "And then..."

"And then?" Sangeeta prompted, her interest piqued.

Preeti's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink. "And then we kissed," she admitted shyly, her gaze dropping to the floor.

Sangeeta squealed with delight, while Sadhana Bhabhi chuckled knowingly. "I told you, chocolate is the key," she remarked, grabbing a spoon from the drawer.

"Alright, let's go," Sangeeta said, grabbing two cups of coffee.

Sadhana Bhabhi followed suit, taking a cup for Vivek. As they left the kitchen, Preeti couldn't help but steal a glance at Prem, who was still sitting with the others. She felt a rush of warmth as their eyes met briefly, sharing a silent exchange of understanding amidst the laughter and camaraderie. As the evening progressed, Preeti couldn't resist the urge to indulge in a bit of mischief. With a mischievous glint in her eyes, she reached for the jar of chocolates on the counter. Grabbing one of Prem's favourite chocolates, she held it out to him with a playful smile. Prem's eyes lit up with delight as he accepted the chocolate from Preeti's hand. Breaking the chocolate in half, Preeti leaned in closer to Prem, their fingers brushing against each other as they shared the decadent treat.

"Oopar jaane se pahale kam se kam yeh game khatm karen!"

Sangeeta's unexpected remark interrupted the lively atmosphere, catching Prem off guard as he had been completely immersed in the moment with Preeti. He blinked, momentarily surprised by her words. Before he could fully process Sangeeta's suggestion, Prem took a sip of his coffee, only to be caught off guard by the sudden turn of events. Choking on the coffee, he spat it out in surprise, unintentionally causing it to land on Vinod's face, who was sitting nearby. Preeti shot Sangeeta a playful glare, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment, while Prem sat there flabbergasted by the unexpected turn of events.

"Mujhe kyon? Aapke paas ye sabhe any jagah the, lekin mere chehare ko nishaane banaaye gaay," Vinod grumbled as he wiped his face.

"Sorry," Prem managed to choke out, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Vivek tapped him on the back, laughing. "Ho sakata hai agalee baar ek doosare ko chupake se chocolate de den."

Prem blushed, feeling a bit flustered by the attention. He glanced at Sangeeta, his expression a mixture of confusion and amusement.

"Aapne aisa kyon socha?" he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.

Sangeeta giggled mischievously. "Preeti Bhabhi mujhe tum donon aur chocolate ke peechhe kee kahaaniyaan sunaein," she confessed, enjoying the playful banter.

As the night wore on, the group found themselves still immersed in the game, laughter filling the air as they exchanged playful banter and competitive jibes. Despite the late hour, no one seemed eager to call it quits just yet. Prem, now recovered from the earlier mishap, was back in the swing of things, his competitive spirit rekindled as he focused on the cards in his hand. Preeti sat by his side, her eyes twinkling with amusement as she watched the game unfold. Sangeeta glanced at the clock on the wall, a playful smirk tugging at her lips.

"You know," she said with a mischievous glint in her eyes, "we might as well play until sunrise at this rate."

The suggestion elicited a chorus of laughter from the group, their enthusiasm for the game undiminished by the late hour. With renewed energy, they dove back into the game, their competitive streaks reignited as they vied for victory. As the hours passed, they lost track of time, caught up in the thrill of the game and the joy of each other's company. Eventually, as the first light of dawn began to filter through the windows, they reluctantly set aside the cards, their hearts still racing with the excitement of the game. With fond farewells and promises to reconvene soon, they bid each other goodnight, the memory of their impromptu game night sure to linger in their hearts for days to come. As they drifted off to sleep, the echoes of laughter and camaraderie filled the air, a testament to the enduring bond shared by this group of friends and family. getting the better of him.
