In Shiganshina on a roof top, Anakin stands over Bertholdt body. A tear ran down Anakin's check as he thought of what his brother had said and the fact that Annie might be dead. Just then something big hits the roof Anakin was standing up as he grabs Bertholdt and his lightsaber, as he puts it to Bertholdt throat. Anakin looks to see what it was as he saw the Cart Titan on the rooftop he was on some distance away. Anakin eyed the Titan and then the man on top of it waiting to see what they do.
Anakin: Come closer, and I will kill him.
Zeke: Are you... Anakin Yeager?
Anakin: Ngh...!
Anakin (thoughts): Wait... he got Titan marks around his eyes. He must be the Beast Titan.
Zeke: You look nothing like your father.
Anakin: What?
Zeke: Believe me, I know what you're going through. We are both victims of are father. You've... been brainwashed by him.
Anakin: Ah...! My... dad?
Anakin (thoughts): What is he talking about?
Zeke: Ah...
Looking up they both saw a bloody Levi standing on top of the wall ready to kill Zeke.
Zeke: Argh... You're kidding me! He chased me all the way here?
Levi takes a step as he starts to slide down the wall.
Zeke: Ngh... Let's call it a draw, Levi. We're in no shape to fight.
Zeke then looks over at Anakin and Bertholdt.
Zeke: Bertholdt... I'm sorry, but I think it's the end for you. Someday, I'm coming back to rescue you!
Anakin: Huh? Ah...
The Cart Titan bounds away with Zeke.
Anakin: He ran?
Levi then lands on the rooftop next to Anakin.
Levi: Ngh...
Anakin: Levi!
Levi: That was the least of my gas. I'll chase him! Hand over your-
Levi looks over at Anakin as he saw he didn't have ODM gear on.
Levi: Ah...!
In another part of Shiganshina. Hange interrogates a very badly injured Reiner as Rex patches Jean up. Annie stands off to the side as she is watching Hange interrogates Reiner.
Hange: Reiner... What's this metal case you had in your left chest pocket? Before we chopped off all your limbs, you tried to grab it with the strength you had left. Suicide pills? Or perhaps a bomb?
Jean: If it was suicide pills, he would have not ran towards Vader. Ouch!
Rex: Sorry.
Reiner: A letter...
Annie: A letter? What kind of letter?
Reiner: A letter... from Eren. You have to... give it... to Kristi...
