Commander Erwin makes his way to Zachary office as he takes a seat across from him.
Erwin: I heard you need to see me?
Zachary: Yes. It very important in fact.
Erwin: What could it be to be so important?
Zachary leaned back in his chair as he looked up at the ceiling for a second before growing a small smile and looking back at Commander Erwin.
Zachary: I want you to take over.
Erwin: W-What?
Zachary was about to speak before someone started knocking on the door.
Zachary: Come in.
Three Scout recruits walk in carrying a chair.
Recruit 1: We got the chair you ask sir.
Zachery: Good, just set it down over there.
Recruit 2: Yes, sir
The three recruits sat the chair down where they were told as they left the office shortly. Zachary then let out a large sigh as he looked back at Commander Erwin.
Zachary: I'm not going to be here much longer. So I want you take my role, after I'm gone.
Erwin: Are you sure I'm the right person sir.
Zachary: Positive. You are the best person for the job, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Erwin: I see. When will you be leaving?
Zachary: This is my last week. So if I were you, I would find a new commander for the Survey Corps.
Erwin: I already have one in mind.
Zachary: Oh, and who might that be?
Erwin: Section Commander Hange Zoe.
Outside Armin walks with Hitch under a shaded area.
Hitch: Have you been keeping up with the news these past few days?
Armin: No.
Hitch: Read this.
Hitch hands over a newspaper to Armin who takes it and start to read it.
Armin: "The Military Continues to Cling to Power Through the Wrongful Detainment of Eren Yeager." People are really starting to distrust the military.
Hitch: I'm not sure what the brass though would happen when they stopped giving the public any answers.
Hitch and Armin walk into a open area.
Armin: In their defense, it's not like we can go public about Zeke and the Rumbling right now.
Both Armin and Hitch stop as they look at the angry crowd at the gates of the building.
Man: No one can save Eldia except Eren!
Man 2: Where's Anakin Yeager! Is he in jail too!
The crowd kept shouting and holding signs.
Man 3: The new Eldian Empire needs Eren Yeager!
Armin: What is this?
Hitch: Apparently there are protests like this outside every local military base.
