Chapter 6

I haven't really thought about how to end the encounter Quint has with Jack/Rezzoch but I'm pretty sure I'll figure it out in this chapter. Also, like I said at the end of last chapter, I'll try to add June and Dirk in more. Sorry they weren't in it as much in the beginning.

Quint POV:

I stare into Jack's pitch black eyes. Some part of me want to run away but something's stopping me. I don't know what it is. It's like when I decided to turn around and run, my brain makes a last-minute decision to stay put.

Finally, after what seems like hours, I'm able to take a step back.

"Where do you think you're going, Quint?" Rezzoch asks.

"B-back to the treehouse," I manage to force out.

"Oh. so you'd rather leave your friend for some house in a tree," Rezzoch hisses.

"Rezzoch," I say, "If you're saying I'd rather leave you for the treehouse it would be a 100% yes."

"Oh I'm not talking about me," Rezzoch chuckles.

I stare a Jack

"That's not the friend I know," I reply.

"Oh come on, Quint," Rezzoch said.

I take another step back. Then another. Then I broke into a sprint as Rover followed me.

Rezzoch POV:

I watch as Quint takes a step back from me. Then another. He started to run as Rover followed. The look he had on his face the entire time more than satisfied me, but I wasn't done with my fun yet so I started to follow him.

As Quint sprinted across town, I silently followed him. To my delight, he doesn't seem to notice. He just runs without taking notice of his surroundings, making it easy for me to follow him.

I follow him until he gets back to the town square. This is going to be entertaining. Not only would I see Quint in a state of vulnerability, June and Dirk would be here too. I wanted them to all to suffer.

Seeing Quint's expression when he'd realized I'd followed him was priceless. I smirked as I walked toward him.

A bit of a short chapter but. This took me 2 days to complete and I've been slightly losing motivation. Since this chapter is pretty much a chapter I decided "Eh, might as well publish it"
