"Hey Cecilia, do you want a ride back to the hotel? I think your dad is still on call," Max said leaning on the wall of the garage with his keys in his hand. At this point in the afternoon most of the team had gone home and only Max, Cecilia, her father, and some engineers were left in the garage. Cecilia stood up from the chair she had found in the corner and said, "Yes please, anything to avoid talking about a party around him." Max smiled and she followed him out to his car. "Did you finally get your dream car?" Cecilia said as they walked out of the building. "Oh just wait," Max said with a big smile. She continued following him out to the parking lot and then she saw it, a red Corvette C3. Max had wanted this car since he was 8 years old. "Oh wow. I still remember the poster you had of this thing on your wall. And you finally got it," She said and surveyed every edge of the car. "I used to jack off to that thing man," Max said and stroked the top of the car. "Oh I believe it," she said with a laugh. Max unlocked the car and they both got in. The car had only two seats and an old radio. The leather seats were worn but you could tell that the passenger seat had been far less worn than the driver's seat. "What time do you want to leave for the party?" Max said as they turned out of the lot and onto the main road. "I'm good to leave whenever but I don't want to be there too early," Cecilia said and leaned back in the suede seat. "I have some people I want you to meet before it gets too crazy so how about we leave at 8?" Max said and tapped the wheel with his fingers. Cecilia smiled and said, "That works." Max turned the radio on and they both listened to old Italian music as they drove down the coastline. The road flowed seamlessly up into cliffs and down into crystal blue water. The roads were relatively empty and so Max took his chance to speed around the curves. He smirked as he saw how unaffected she was by him. "Are you just unphased by speed now?" Max asked. She smiled and responded, "I guess after having a lunatic for a father it's not too bad." Max nodded in agreement and said, "Hey, cheers to having crazy fathers." They both laughed and Max sped around the last few turns before getting back into the city and slowing back down to the speed limit. Cecilia looked over at Max and saw a stupid smile plastered on his face. "What are you so geeked about?" Cecilia said and peaked a smile from his stupid smile. "I'm just excited about tonight," Max said and looked over at Cecilia. Cecilia blushed slightly at his gaze and said, "Are a lot of hot supermodels going to be there?" Max's smile lessened and he put on more of a half smile, "Oh yeah can't wait for all of the plastic money chasers," he said sarcastically. She smiled at his response and the rest of the ride back to the hotel was mostly in silence broken up by Max's horrible singing to the songs in Italian. Cecilia laughed at his horrible pronunciation but let him keep going. They arrived at the hotel and the valet took Max's car to the parking lot. "Well I guess I'll see you at 8?" Cecilia said and turned to go upstairs. "Wait, can I get your number? I think my number has changed about 10 times since we last saw each other," Max said and opened his phone. She put her phone number in and wrote her contact name, Cecilia ;). Max smiled and waved her goodbye. Cecilia made her way to the elevator and couldn't help but feel butterflies in her stomach.

8 o'clock rolled around and Cecilia was scrambling to buckle her heels on and put her earrings in. She got a text from Max as she spritzed herself with perfume, Hey I'll be in the lobby when you're ready. She hurried the rest of her makeup and texted Max, Okay I'll be down in 5! Her outfit consisted of a black slip dress and red heels. She didn't quite know how to dress so she mixed a uni party outfit with an executive dinner party outfit. Cecilia grabbed her bag and headed out the door. The hotel was grand and all of the floors had beautiful art and wallpaper lining the halls. She made her way to the elevator and said hello to some other team's engineers as they got out. The elevator arrived on the first floor and she stepped out. Max was waiting in the middle of the lobby in a black button-down and black pants. As she walked closer to him she noticed that four of the buttons on his shirt were unbuttoned. He was standing on his phone distracted and so she walked up to him and adjusted his shirt closed. "Max Verstappen, when did you get so slutty?" She said with a sly smile. He looked down at his shirt and then down at Cecilia. "I could ask the same thing to you," Max said and gave her another look, up and down. "I guess that's what you get from being in f1," Cecilia said. "What? Looks and Money?" Max said and pushed his hair back. Cecilia noticed the veins in his neck as he leaned his head back and blushed. "Well, are you ready to go Mr.Verstappen?" Cecilia said, trying to cover up her pink cheeks. "Of course Ms. Horner," Max said and put an elbow out for her to take. She slipped her arm through his and they walked out to his car waiting under the awning. He opened the car door for her and bowed jokingly as she stepped in. He got in the car and turned it on. "You know if you keep being nice to me then everyone is going to think you're a softy," Cecilia said and turned to him. "I'm being nice now before I have to put up my mean persona at the party," Max said and turned to a serious face. Cecilia laughed and crossed her legs, "As long as you keep me from jumping off a cliff, I don't care how much of a dick you are tonight." He huffed a laugh and revved the engine as they pulled out of the hotel.
