Sam Winchester, Karina Leone, and Dean Winchester were seated on a couch in Housatonic, Massachusetts. They were talking to an old family friend that Sam and Dean knew as the case connected with them. A middle-aged woman named Donna and her teenage daughter, Katie.
She set the cookies on a table along with a lemonade pitcher. She smiled at them, "Dean and Sammy Winchester. So, how long has it been?"
Sam answered as he smirked, "The summer before 6th grade."
She nodded as she smiled in her memory, "I remember. You assigned yourself your own reading list." Sam smiled while Karina looked at him with a grin. Her eyes told a story as she took a sight.
Dean chuckled, "That's right. I forgot about that." He widened his eyes to himself.
He looked at Katie, "Your mom happens to be the best babysitter we ever had."
Donna looked at her daughter, "Well, when I was a maid at the Mayflower, out on the interstate--long before you were even an idea-- their daddy used to pass through town and leave the boys with me... while he went off to... work. One time, he was gone for two weeks."
Katie repeated, "Two weeks?"
"Oh, he'd always come limping back. He loved you, boys."
"Did you know what he did all that time?"
"Little Sammy kept trying to tell me. Of course, I didn't believe him. Not at first, anyway."
Sam inhaled before he spoke softly, "Katie, our dad... happened to be an expert at getting rid of ghosts. And now, so are we, and also with a friend."
Donna laid her hand on the blanket near her to comfort her, "That's why I called them, sweetie. They can help us."
From the other side of the room, the husband entered with bags in his hands. Karina nodded, "Sounds to me you have a poltergeist."
He looked at them as he informed them, "Started a month or two after we moved in."
Donna inferred, "Yeah, first, i-it was just bumps and knocks and scratches on the walls. And it started breaking things."
"It attacked Katie, correct?"
The husband answered, "That was two nights ago."
Donna asked Katie, "Can you show them, honey?" She lifted the blanket off her lap, then stood up. She lifted her shirt, showing her stomach. Her stomach revealed bloody scratches.
Sam read out loud, "Murderd Chylde."
Dean and Karina shared eyes as Katie sat down. She has shaken then Dean leaned over his knees, giving his eyes to her. "Katie... everything's gonna be fine, I promise." Katie gently smiled at his words, then continued on. "Why don't you guys take yourselves a little vacation, and we'll take care of it."
Donna sighed in relief, "Thank you." Sam and Dean raised up to stand, not stopping Karina from taking two chocolate chip cookies for a ride.

Karina was sitting near Sam while Dean was grabbing their food in the diner. Sam was looking at his laptop, researching which gave a cue to Karina. She leaned toward him with a black long-sleeve v-neck top with a curious smirk, "So what did little Sammy read during the summer?"
Sam sighed, "Karina."
"What, you can't hate me for being curious." Karina grinned as she batted her eyes in desperation. Sam chuckled a little, then she pouted her lips begging. "Pretty please?"
