Chapter 20

It's been days after my birthday celebration. We are now back to school again and as far as it is, wala pa namang nanggugulo sa araw namin.

Kasalukuyan kaming nasa tambayan ngayon kung saan ako dinala ni Adler noon. Dito na halos kami araw-araw nananatili tuwing lunch time. They also discovered it when they once followed here to find us. Kaya sa tuwing nawawala rin kami ni Adler ay dito sila dumidiretso dahil alam nilang nandito lang kami. We are now busy reviewing for the upcoming exam later. This is already the last quarter and we are hoping na mapasama sa top list.

"It's good to be at peace everyday." sabi ni Amy pagkatapos bumuntong-hininga.

"It was kinda weird though." ani Matthew.

"What do you mean?" nagtatakang tanong ko.

"Hindi ba't mas maganda nga iyong wala nang nanggugulo sa atin. And maybe she already realize everything she did."

"I highly doubt that." sabat ni Amy.

"Well, anyway, since this is now our last month in highschool, got some plans?" tanong ni Lance.

He is now good, well sort of. It had been months since it happened between them. The last time I saw his ex was at my birthday cause I remembered Amy inviting him and gladly, he showed up. They kinda avoid each other though, but things got better between them, I believe.

"What about going to beach?" tanong ni Adler na ngayon lang umimik.

"That would be a great idea. It had been a year since I went to a beach." Amy said.

"Let's go for that." pagsang-ayon ko.

Maya-maya ay tumunog na rin ang bell at kahit napipilitan ay nag-ayos na kami para pumasok sa afternoon classes. We'll be having our last exams this afternoon since we're already done taking the morning exams. At iyon ang pinoproblema namin ni Amy. Most of the afternoon class professor are a bit terror.

"See you later." sabi ni Adler matapos akong ihatid sa tapat ng room.

"Yeah, see you." aniko bago niya ako halikan sa pisngi at pumasok.

"I'm not ready for this." eksaheradang sabi ni Amy nang pumasok sa Miss Garcia sa silid.

"I'll give you an hour to answer the exam, after that no more answering, no more excuses, no more extra or bonus time. Pass everything to the front." aniya bago ipamigay ang test papers.

It's been an hour of hell for us but thankfully, we're done answering the exam. Nagpatuloy iyon hanggang sa second subject namin. We were in our last exam for the afternoon when they cancelled it due to an emergency meeting at the faculty. Lahat nang teachers ay pinatawag kaya maaga kaming pinauwi nang maisipan namin ni Amy na mag-NBS muna. Sumama na rin sila Adler sa amin dahil ayaw papigil. Pagkatapos raw kase naming mamili ay sila rin naman ang maghahatid sa amin.

Nang nasa National Book Store na kami ay saglit na umalis ang mga lalaki dahil may bibilhin rin daw sila. We let them leave and entered the store to buy what we need for our project this last sem. Nasa isle kami ng mga pens nang bigla akong kurutin ni Amy na muntik ko nang ikamura.

"Ano ba!?" gulat na tanong ko sa kanya.

"Si Karina oh!" aniya sabay turo sa babaeng nakatayo hindi kalayuan sa amin.

Tinignan kong mabuti ang babae at totoong si Karina nga. But what is she doing here? Hindi niya naman siguro kami sinusundan dahil mukhang hindi niya rin alam na nandito kami.

"Bakit siya nandito?" parehong tanong ni Amy.

"Hindi ko alam. Baka bumibili rin ng materials para sa project." sagot ko.
