BONUS CHAPTER FOR maddie_the_fangirl13 's Fanfiction: Love is my Saviour

"Daddy?" I hear one of my daughter speak up. I force my eyes away from the photo of my wife to find Destiny.

Her grey eyes showing the blue flecks that only can be seen in the light.

"Yeah sweetie?" I ask in reply, stroking brown hair she receives from her mother.

"Why doesn't Mama live here anymore?" My breaths collect in my throat at her question.

"G - get your sister Destiny, I need to tell you two something important." I answer and she bounds off to find Hope.

I walk back to the room wall where a few pictures of Katniss and I fill up the blank expanse. I carefully dismount them from the wall and sit back down. Cradling the picture frames on my lap.

Destiny and Hope come back and sit down on the couch beside me, full of wonder to what I must tell them.

"Girls, this is going to be really hard for Daddy to talk about okay?" Their excited appearance fades and they nod.

"Okay. You know some people close their eyes to sleep and they go to heaven? Because that is where Mama is, in heaven." I start and rearrange the pictures on my lap.

"Mama grew up being really, really sick. She had to be in a wheelchair her whole life." I add and show a picture of Katniss where she is in her wheelchair.

"I met your Mama when we were at school and because she was really sick, her doctors said she will go to heaven very soon. Because Mama and I loved each other, we became Mama and Daddy and found out that two munchkins called Destiny and Hope were to become part of our family." I say, lightening up the mood in a word and poking their bellies before continuing.

"When you were born, Mama was still awake but close to going to heaven. She - she went to heaven just after your second birthday." I choke out and wipe my now wet eyes.

"I miss Mama very very much, I hope you do too even if you don't remember her that much." Their little arms wrap around me and I produce a small smile. "You two are all I have of Mama so I want you to be safe."

"We will keep safe Daddy, we love you."

"I love you too. Your Mama does too. Mama was my hero, she was really important to me and did all she could to stay here. But I bet she's watching us now with a big smile on her face."

"Really?" They say in unison.

"Really. How about you go to your room and talk to Mama?" I suggest and they nod with big smiles, running to their room.

I'm soon filled with warmth I've haven't felt in a year. Her warmth. I feel her presence on me. Setting sparks off in my body.

I don't know if my mind tells me or if she speaks the words to me.

"Well done, I'm proud of you Peeta. My one and only."
