With Sylvie back at work the firehouse was busy Matt was shadowing Herrmann to see if he was lieutenant material Herrmann wanted a Lieutenant spot so he was taking charge of Truck 81 today.
"So Herrmann in charge of truck today" Matt said
"Oh you are seeing if he can make it as a lieutenant" Sylvie said
"Yes I mean he fills in for me all the time but he wants a spot when there's an opening at a firehouse and as for you this is your first back after having appendicitis please take it easy" Matt said
"I will Dr Halstead did clear me for work but I will take it easy" Sylvie said
When they got to the firehouse everyone was pleased to see Sylvie back after she had been off work for 2 weeks the bells when off.
Truck 81 Ambulance 61 person injured from fall
They loaded into their rigs and headed to the call Truck was the first on scene Ambo had got stuck behind so traffic Sylvie was driving Shay and Brett took turns driving.
"Sirens don't mean anything to anyone anymore" Sylvie said
The Traffic started moving and Sylvie accidentally hit a pedestrian.
"Oh God 61 one to main we hit a pedestrian" Sylvie said
'"Copy 61 stand by for a sobriety test" Dispatched said
"Standard Procedure" Shay said
61 git to Med Sylvie was taken to the doctors lounge to wait for Chief Hatcher 81 followed with the victim they transported.
"Shay where is she" Matt asked
"Doctor's lounge with Chief Hatcher it was unavoidable" Shay said
"I'm going to sit with her" Matt said
"It has be a union rep" Mouch said
"Okay Mouch" Matt said
Mouch when into the Doctor lounge Hatcher had been asking Sylvie a bunch of questions Boden was on his way.
When Chief Boden arrived he asked Chief Hatcher to step outside it was an accident it was unavoidable but somehow Sylvie was getting the blame.
A few days later
Sylvie had decided to take the next few shift of she couldn't face what she had done especially with a lawsuit now involved.
Matt had not clue how to cheer his wife up all she did was laid there holding Jasmine Serveride had come round.
"How is she" Serveride asked
"Not good I don't how to help Hey look I have to a construction job for a few hours mind look after Sylvie I don't want to leave her alone" Matt said
"Sure thing" Serveride said
"I thing she still blames herself for what happened and Chief Hatcher making it worse couldn't have helped look I'm taking the next few shift off I'm taking Sylvie somewhere nice for a few days to cheer her up" Matt said
Matt hated seeing his wife like this it could that Post partum depression had kicked in.
