Fairies and lobsters- a poem

Would you believe me if I told you: fairies and lobsters get along well?

The fairies go out of their way to pretty up the lobsters every day,

while the lobsters take off their clamps to keep all the bad-guys away.

A friendship like this, is it only beneficial? Maybe they have secrets, to which eachother only they can tell.

Sometimes my friends are lobsters but they come in too late.

Other times they're a fairy but it's only made me feel better once up to date.

Lobsters are red, they signal danger;

Fairies are so small, but their colours come MAJOR.

Why can't a lobster have the same duality, why aren't we same?

Why take the high ground? We're meant to be below anyway

The sun is bright perhaps it's the fairies teeth

The grass is green, I guess it's the food we lobsters eat.

Maybe we're not meant to get along well

Really, who's the lobster here man, who's the fairy?

You can't come here and ask me that.

Friendships are hard; maybe even harder for a pairing such as those two

"Forgive and forget" is that what the fairy tells the lobster?

"I can't"

The most you muster out is "sorry".
