george and harry had arrived in new york an hour before the show, they had an hour to put their bags into harrys apartment and make their way to the venue all within the new york traffic.
somehow they had made it just before the show but due to not wanting iris to know they were there yet they had decided to stay in the car until the show started
iris was currently playing feels like and interacting with the fans completely unaware of anything happening backstage, george and harry had now entered the venue backstage following the instructions that matt had given george. matt had told george that due to the way backstage was set out and the venue being small the only way you could get to the other side of the stage where the triplets were stood was to get across the stage which meant that george and harry would have to meet them after the show was over
"are you going to go on stage" harry said to george as they make their way through backstage
"yeah i think clem said to go on whenever" george replied remembering the messages between him and his sisters bestfriend when he told her about the surprise
as they reached side stage nick automatically noticed them and nudged matt who was focused on ri. he turned his head to look at nick figuring nick had something he wanted to tell him but all nick did was point directly opposite them to the other side of the stage where harry and george was conversating with the crew
iris had finished feels like and had also finished so my darling and was now about to move onto tv when she spoke into the mic asking for her guitar that was slightly off to the side which only the crew and clem and lia could here due to the in ears they wore.
george figured this was a great opportunity to go onto the stage to surprise her so he grabbed her guitar kindly from a crew member before walking on stage, the crowd cheered louder than they ever have as they saw him walk on stage
iris didnt think much of it seeing as she had figured they were just cheering because one of the triplets probably got it which is what usually happened
she turned around grabbing the guitar without really taking much recognition, the thing with iris wad that once she was on stage she was in a mindset and her only focus was on her songs and the crowd
"thanks george" she said mindlessly as it still didnt click what she had said, george laughed along with the crowd
