The cursed night

1:00 am -
It was raining heavily in the whole Bangkok city.

In a big hospital, a lady of her middle age was sitting in waiting zone and sobbing silently. A man in his middle age, probably the husband of the lady was hugging her from side with his eyes closed. It was feeling like the whole world has stopped, only the sound of raindrops was giving the reminder that world is still awake.
But for the couple, their world really almost stopped 3 hours ago.

Their only fragile world is now in the emergency ward, infront of them.

God is the only thing they know right now, except themselves.

They are Anne Kanawut and Ken Kanawut. CEO and the COO of KKT company, second powerful agency of business world. Usually they eagerly wait for any another powerful company agent and their business proposal, but right now they are eagerly waiting for a fully white dressed doctor like their life is depending on him.
Well, this is the reality though.
The most awaited person came out from the emergency ward and called them in low voice.
The couple almost ran to him and wiped their tears.

Anne :- Doctor, I don't want to listen anything else. Please tell me he is okay, he is going to be okay , please doctor...

That's it. The lady again brust into tears. Her husband side hugged her again and looked at the doctor with pathetic eyes.

Doctor:- I can't tell much right now, patient is not stable at all. His spinal cord his deeply injured. The accident was severe, his hip and the legs are paralyzed now. Upper part is also numb. And the worse thing we think he will loose his voice too. But I can't tell that his paralysis is permanent or temporary. All I can tell that pray for him, he is very young.

The doctor walked away. The lady was almost going to sit in the floor but her husband hugged quickly. Anne was crying loudly forgetting that she is infront of an emergency ward.
Ken sighed heavily, he couldn't digest the whole fact what happened today. To be honest, till now he can't believe.

|Flashback|

Mr. Ken Kanawut came from his office at 8:00 pm. Yes, today he is alone. His wife couldn't attend office today because their only child Gulf was sick today. Since morning he wasn't feeling well. He had no appetite and slight fever. Anne was concerned from morning and declared that she won't attend office today. It's their heartache from ages that since childhood Gulf is growing up under the head maid Inaya's care. They couldn't accompany him properly thought they wanted. But still their child grew up as a sweet, gentle and obedient kid. They are thankful to Inaya but never satisfied with themselves.
In morning Gulf was very clingy to his dad too. He begged to his dad to stay at home. Ken's heart clenched but he was unable to fulfill his beloved son's wish due to the important meeting in office. So, when he returned from work Gulf was the only thing in his mind but he panicked when he saw his wife crying on Gulf's bed.

Ken :- What's wrong honey ?
Anne :- Ken, G has high fever and still unconscious from evening, he isn't waking up dear , what will I do ?
Anne sobbed hard. Ken went to Gulf and touched his forehead. He is burning! Anne couldn't reduce his fever with her so many attempt. Ken panicked but tried to stay calm.

Ken :- Honey, why didn't you take him to hospital?
Anne :- Our both one car is damaged from yesterday, and the driver has gone to his sick mother. The other car was here but you know I can't drive well, specially in rainy night with a sick son I can't risk.
Ken :- Okay, now come quickly .

Ken picked his fragile son in his arm and came to the downstairs. He took his own car, put his son under his wife's care in the backseat and he himself started driving.

They both were very tensed. There is not a single person in the road. Only the heavy rain. Ken was having a difficulties in driving still he was speeding the car remembering his son's innocent pale face . But it seemed like nature wasn't loving towards the beautiful sweet boy. Ken couldn't see the road good anymore.
Suddenly a car from opposite side with high speed hit his car madly.
And....
What's wrong with God ? Yes ! God !
They were 3 in the car ! But God's target? Only Gulf !

The car was damaged badly. Everything was broken. The 3 persons are on the road. The man and the woman had some scratches in their body and forehead, nothing much ! They looked at each other with horrified face and gave their glance to little far.

There, the sweet and fragile boy is on the road, still unconscious, but now full of blood. Their beloved kid, only baby !

They both were in the car too . Why their child only ? God ?

Forgetting about everything, including the driver of the another car who just hit, Ken picked his son and started running in the heavy rain. Anne floowed him. In the middle, with the help of an empty bus they finally ended up in the hospital. Gulf was taken into emergency ward.

The next 3 hours were just nothing but hell!

The doctor's voice startled the couple.
"Only one"-
Ken was dying to see his son but he let his wife go.
Anne didn't wait for a single second and went to Gulf. Her heart dropped watching her baby son attached with so many channels. She started crying hard and hold her son's hand carefully. Gulf's palm drenched in her mom's tears. But sadly he couldn't feel ! Couldn't even hear his mom's painful voice, pathetic words !

-" Son, my baby G, please wake up ! Look at mama ! Please baby ! I won't forbade you to eat fast foods anymore, you can watch Doraemon as much as you want baby , you can play video games too, just wake up na..call mama na..baby please !"

Poor mother! What is going to happen next with her sweet son ? Why fate is so cruel ?
