Neteyam pov

I wake up with a killer headache in the morning. I shouldn't have drank.

I always get drunk after 1 drink. I tried to remember last night but I couldn't.

Last thing that happened was when Aonung asked me who I liked.

Then I can't remember shit after that. Oh dear Eywa please say I didn't do anything stupid.

I walk out of the pod to see my mother and father packing things.

"What are you guys doing I ask?"

"We've long since overstayed our welcome, we leaving neteyam," mom says.

"What, but we just- we can't,"

Dad speaks up, "We must go home, even if it's for a while. It's not like we won't visit."

I think back to Aonung. He'll never know that I love him. No noo.

I try to argue with my parents, but in the end, their decision was final.

A few hours later, I was standing in the beach were I first laid my eyes on ma'nung.

I can't cry, I shouldn't. I'm suppose to be strong.

We stand in front of Tonowari and Ronal. My parents are saying their goodbyes.

I stay with my head down, afraid that if I look at Aonung I'd burst into tears.

Lo'ak saying his goodbye to tsireya. He gives her a kiss. She walks up to me. I pick my head to look at her.

She pulls into a hug. I see Aonung coming up to me. I stand there awkwardly.

"So I guess this is goodbye, right?" I say.

He smiles at me and pulls me into a hug.

"No, this is more like a see you later,"

He rests his chin on my head. "Ma'neteyam," he whispers quietly.

I blink confused. Did I hear right? He lets go of me.

"Safe travels," he says with a glint in his eye.

I look at him and give him my sincerest smile.

We then get on our banshees and fly off. I take one more look back and finally let out a sob.

I hope this isn't the last time I see ma'nung...
