Chapter 32: Mink Tribe

An explosion sounded at the gates of Zou Island with Minks flying across the sky. A Mink's spear passed through the body of (Y/N) who knocked him out with a powerful blow, a horde of soldiers rushed towards the pirate who smiled and ran towards them. The shock of the impact between the protagonist and Zou's soldiers sent Minks flying into the forest due to the force of the impact.

(Y/N) fought the Minks surrounding him while dodging their attacks, he raised his hand as a sudden gust of wind swept his opponents away. On Yamato's side, she pushed her opponents away with her kanebo, clashes of iron causing sparks from the weapons met, but the Vice Captain of the Wild Wind Pirates had the advantage against them. Like a bolt of lightning, Yamato sent the Minks flying with a powerful lightning attack as she glanced at (Y/N) who was fighting well despite his injuries.

Yamato: You're strong, (Y/N).

(Y/N): I can tell you the same thing, Yamato. With Haki, he quickly sensed an opponent coming towards him, (Y/N) looked up to see a Mink in the air who unsheathed his sword releasing sparks, his katana and the Mink's sword met causing a powerful gust of wind. Noticing the strength of the Mink who seemed like a dog wearing a hat, he quickly pushed him away as he landed on the ground.

Yamato: Are you alright? She asked as she approached the man, but reinforcements arrived to help the Mink.

Mink soldiers: The Musketeers, they've arrived... We are saved...

Mink soldiers: This is the end for you intruders, you will die...

(Y/N): Looks like their commanders have arrived, be careful Yamato.

Yamato: Understood.

???: My name is Wanda, I'm one of the Musketeers protecting Dogstorm. We will not let you stay on this land any longer, you will pay for hurting our brothers.

(Y/N): I think there is a misunderstanding.

Wanda: What are you talking about? You destroyed the gate and defeated the guards, you are our enemies!

(Y/N): Thank you Yamato. He said in a low voice.

Wanda: Carrot! I didn't order you to attack. She exclaimed at the blonde haired rabbit who seemed angry at the sight of her unconscious companions.

Carrot: I know, but they have been our enemies since they first set foot on this island.

Wanda: You're still only an apprentice Musketeer, you don't have the right to act without my orders so don't interfere.Sshe said to the disappointment of the Mink who returned to her companions.

(Y/N): Listen to me, I know you probably hate us but we don't want to fight you. My friend is an idiot, she destroyed the gate by mistake and we were attacked by your troops, we defended ourselves, but we didn't kill any of you, all your companions are alive.

Wanda: Why? Why did you come to this island?

(Y/N): Maybe I should have brought Kikunojo with me... We are allies of the Kozuki Clan, we are here to meet your leaders! (Y/N)'s statement surprised the Minks, who looked at each other.

Wanda: Are you really allies of the Kozuki Clan?

To prove his words, (Y/N) revealed a letter drawing the curiosity of the Minks who were intrigued by the contents of the paper written by Kikunojo which described (Y/N) as his captain deserving the trust of the people of Zou. However, Wanda still seemed undecided and asked to see the letter as he threw it at her, she grabbed the letter and opened it to discover the truth about (Y/N). Her eyes read every written line as a surprised expression appeared on her face as she read the letter containing information that an ordinary person could not know about the Kozuki and the Minks.
