In early April, Jennie picked a suite in the District. It was a little expensive, but it was in a good location. She had waited for more than half a month before she decided to buy it. The process of buying a house was a bit complicated. The process of buying a house was a bit confusing, plus buying furniture and overseeing shop matters, by the time summer came, the new home was still not completely set up yet.

However, Jennie wasn't worried; she had paid up to a year's worth of rent, so she would move after the contract expires.

By the end of September, Lisa's affairs were settled, everything went smoothly.

Moreover, with admission to graduate school confirmed, the two were able to spend more time together. Apartment 1503 was almost empty because Lisa had started moving her things into Jennie's apartment. At first, it was her toothbrush, then her computer, and then even her clothes were brought over.

Jennie noticed this, but didn't say anything because there was still half a year left on her contract, and so let Lisa do as she pleases.

Today, the Kim family had invited her and some relatives over for dinner. It just so happened that Lisa had a party with her research partners or something at the same time. So the two went out together and walked to the gate. Jennie helped Lisa to straighten her clothes before leaving.

The dinner was at a well-known restaurant. Relatives were all passionately discussing different topics when they brought up Jennie and asked Mother Kim with a smile, "Jennie is already 27, when will she bring back a son-in-law?"

Jennie paused, her brother and his wife looked at each other, and Mother Kim calmly announced, "She already has."

The relatives asked in more detail, "When did this happen? How come we didn't know? Who is it?"

"An outsider, not from Seoul. Not bad either." Mother Kim glanced at Jennie, then changed the topic.

The relatives noticed the change but didn't say anything as they continued to chat.

Jennie helped her mother see the guests out the door, Mother Kim asked her in a quiet voice only the two could hear, "So where is she from?"

Jennie froze, then answered truthfully, "Busan?"

Mother Kim only nodded her head and didn't ask anymore.

Jennie was conflicted as to when she should bring Lisa over. At first, she had considered waiting until she graduated but then didn't want to interfere with her studying for graduate school, and since she wasn't working yet, she thought her mother would complain that Lisa was a bum as well. However, in the long run, no matter what happens, nothing could guarantee that Mother Kim wouldn't have something to complain about.

She wondered if she should bring Lisa over for New Year's.

She would ask Lisa first, and if she agreed, then that was the plan they would go with.

But an accident occurred-

One Saturday morning, Jennie got up early and had planned to go out to pick up some groceries. She had just put on her jacket when Lisa came over and hugged her for a morning exercise. Jennie always did not turn her away and allowed it to happen.

After two rounds, she washed up and went out, leaving Lisa home alone.

The floor was messy, and there were clothes thrown all over the place. Lisa had gone back to sleep, and at 10:30, she slowly got up and packed up. When the cleaning was finished, and she was tying her shoes, ready to throw out the trash when the doorbell rang.

Except for Rosé and Yeri, usually, no one else came to visit. So she didn't think much and just opened the door.

As soon as the door opened, both the person inside and the person standing outside were stunned.

The face outside the door was seven to eight parts similar to Jennie. Without needing to guess, Lisa knew who the other party was-Mother Kim.

Mother Kim studied her carefully and saw that she was holding a garbage bag in her hand, and her expression eased slightly.

"Auntie." Lisa politely addressed her, Opening the door wider.
