"Ah, I forgot to buy something."

The one who spoke was none other than Cho-Cho, who had only just returned to the room. After going shopping with Sumire, she had quite the haul from the kiosk inside the hotel, including limited-edition potato chips that could only be found in The Village of the Mist.

Among the load of snacks, Sarada was most interested in the jellyfish flavored potato chips that Cho-Cho held in her hands. But her expression betrayed nothing.

"I was going to get myself a late-night snack, but I forgot. I'll be right back!"

As Cho-Cho prepared to leave the room, Wasabi called after her. "If you're going out again, let us go with you!"

Namida nodded in agreement from behind her.

But Sumire was eyeing the clock with a worried look. "Wait... Isn't it almost time for roll call?"

The eyes of everyone else drifted over to check the time.

"What should we do?"

"I'll just wait until tomorrow. It's not like I didn't bring a late-night snack with me... I just wanted something new and exciting," said Cho-Cho, spreading out the supply of potato chips in her possession. There were at least 20 different bags and flavors.

"Then I guess we'll just stay here. The teachers are going to make a big deal out of it if we miss roll call."

Wasabi and Namida seemed like they lost their enthusiasm for going after Cho-Cho would no longer be joining them. Sarada also thought it was about time she started getting ready to go to bed. But...

"He's not here."

"Still hasn't showed up."

"Maybe he's not coming?"

"I dunno."

Even though the time for long awaited roll call had passed, no one showed up to take it.

"Something is off," said Sarada, looking at the time. Boruto was supposed to be there to make sure everyone was in their room. But no matter how much time passed, there was zero sign of him anywhere.

The strange worry she got from not seeing him at all since that evening worked its way back into her mind.

Maybe he stuck his nose into something else and got in trouble?

"Ah, but I saw him after dinner, so I have a feeling that maybe he just forgot...?" At Sumire's words, the temperature in the room seemed to plummet. "Ha... Hawawawa!"

Sarada was silent, but a small smile floated up onto her face. "Just forgot? That is a likely possibility," she mumbled, standing to her feet. The light in the room reflected off her glasses. "I'll be right back."

Her friends were silent, other than giving her a nod of agreement. Sarada clapped her fist with her palm and headed towards Boruto's room.
