What's misunderstood leads to fear and hate
Constant collision between make and mandate
Preferences and biases have always been innate
Shaping the perception of the world as a fellow primate
But to let them influence actions leads to a worsened climate

To comment in third person always seems fair
Absolved of dilemmas and nuances the first person lays bare
Is a position to take when personal stakes aren't there

All opinions are valid and not valid the same
A thousand pleasantries get drowned in a well-aimed barb
Seeding self-doubt turning symphony to a scar
Ones that matter are those made in good faith
Even when it stings, there's progress to be made

Curiosity cannot be bound by order
Fiery, feisty and beyond borders
Finding support by likeness with clarity
To set things straight when all goes awry
Company in joy and a consoler otherwise

Friendship isn't magic but an alliance with rules
When those aren't apparent, it does flow smooth
A niche to yourself when there's nowhere to go
Strength and solace can be found alone
But to make it the whole point lets thing sour

Stay happy and funky asking for more
Not heed to the naysayers when you have
The support from within or from ones who care
