JOSEPHINE EVANS was her name, but her best friend, Peter Parker, had always called her Jo. When she was four, Peter moved into the house across the street with his aunt and uncle; he was abandoned by his parents. A few days after the boy had joined their community, Christine Evans walked a plate of cookies across the road. That was when Peter and Jo became "Peter and Jo."

Like every friendship ever known to man, theirs had its flaws. However, unlike some, they always ended up finding their way back to each other. Never had their childish fights resulted in a permanent separation of the two. But, however much they believed their friendship was eternal, the future was entirely indeterminable.

One day, a masked vigilante by the name of Spider-Man appears on the streets of New York and so many things change in such a short period of time including Peter Parker. Jo grew up with a kind, dorky boy who tripped over his own feet constantly and whose passion was science. But then, he showed up to school with bruises decorating his face and he was different. For a while, Jo was unsure if this difference in her best friend was good or bad but she quickly came to a positive realization. She realized that newfound confidence was rising to Peter's surface. However, paired with this positive realization of the boy she grew up with, she also realized that some feelings she thought were buried far beneath the surface were slowly seeping through the cracks.

One simply cannot fathom how deeply excited I am to start writing chapter one of this fanfic. I've been fixated on Spider-Man for the past two weeks or so and I rewatched TASM about a week ago. Holy shit those movies are great and there should've been a third one. Anyways, that's a bit off-topic. Just wanted to say how thrilled I am for my discs to arrive so I can start chapter one of this! Also, I don't have a specific playlist for them but please, for the love of god, listen to speak now because that album is partially what inspired this and gave me a lot of ideas for Jo and Peter.
