May: Alright! Time to go fight Brawly, and get my second Gym Badge!

May then turns around and notices Shauna riding one of the waves

Shauna then jumps off of her board and looks at May with anger.
Shauna: Hey!
May: What? Who even are you?
Shauna: The name's Shauna! Shauna the Battle Girl! And you're May Haruka aren't you?
May: Yeah, that's me. Want an autograph?
Shauna: Well, I just so happen to be a part of the Dewford Gym! And I'm here to challenge you!
May: Alright. *starts stretching her body* Could use a warm-up battle!
The two then get into position, and get ready to battle.
May and Shauna: Go Combusken!/Go Meditite!
May then brings out Teriyaki while Shauna brings out her Meditite.

Shauna: Meditite, Focus Punch!
May: Block it!
Teriyaki then blocks the attack, shocking Shauna.
May: Now Peck!
Combusken then Pecks the Meditite, causing a lot more powerful damage.
Shauna: L-Lucky shot....!
May: Teriyaki, return! Go Swellow!
May then brings back Combusken and brings out Swellow.
Shauna: High-Jump Kick!
