Into the night

Why do you cry so much alone?

Why do you hide behind your hair?

Do you not wish for them to see

The pain you are experiencing?

But they're the ones who have caused you harm.

They made you suffer all day long,

By taking away your rights and your freedom,

Killing away any fight you had in you.

What will you do when I am gone?

Will those tears dry or will you be undone?

Forced to remain as you are

With no light to shine down on your face.

Trapped – is what you have become.

The world does not see you for who you are.

They see a puppet, a monster of sorts,

That cannot defend herself in courts.

Do not remain in this shadowy land,

Reach out your quivering hand,

And I will take you into the night,

Where demons and monsters will bring you no harm.
