Princess Yara was standing in the same gazebo she was in with her father a few days ago, waiting...

She was facing the distant lake when she heard some footsteps coming closer to her, in a slow and steady pace.

"Your highness, Princess Yara"

His voice came as calm as usual, these were the first words Sasuke directed to her, and it was his first time to face her directly.

She turned around to look at him, to find him kneeling down in respect, head down as usual.

"Please, stand up...", she said in a soft and low voice.

As he did so and stood up, she slightly felt surprised to see that he was actually more taller and muscular when he is close than when she usually sees him a distance away. She found herself having to lift her head up to look at him, while he looked down at her with his dark eyes, he stared her intensely.

She was beautiful, with a fair complexion. He has always knew that her name, Yara, means lady of water, and now he sees why she is called that, it can be for those large blue eyes of hers...
She was wearing a beige long-sleeved, long dress, adorned with some embroidery and crystals, tied up in the middle with a beautiful belt.
She was letting her long wavy brown hair down, and putting her tiara on her head.

In general, and to Sasuke, she didn't look like a female version of Kakashi, the only thing that would remind him of her father was that small mole on her chin, the same one that the king has.

While taking his time to look at her directly for the first time, the princess was having a slight difficulty to do the same to him, mainly because of his strong gaze.

Her cheeks tuned pink as she looked up at him, he was very handsome, just like her father told her. It was weird how she didn't realize it before now, maybe because he was off limits?!
She looked at his flawless fair skin, his soft straight locks of dark hair, his well built form and last...at his dark eyes who were looking into hers.

"I..."

She trailed off, she hated herself for this, she didn't want to look nervous in front of him but strong, because that's how she actually is, and because that's how she is supposed to be, but suddenly...she found herself stuttering, nervous and anxious.

"Princess Yara, we came here today for the purpose to get to know each other, for a noble goal. I'm very honored I got a chance to talk to your highness, and I'm even more honored to actually being chosen by your father, his royal highness the king, to marry you, of course, if you, princess Yara accept to take me as your loyal and faithful husband", he started, as if he wanted to help her get over her nervousness, and start a conversation with her.

"Aside from the fact that my father asked you to, do you really want this?", she asked quietly, this question was important for her to take her final decision later.

"Yes", he replied shortly, but confidently.

"Tell me, do you like battlefields and wars?"

"No"

"My father told me you have been a warrior ever since you were a child", she asked, as if wanting him to justify his previous answer.

"Yes, indeed. I fight to protect what is precious and important to me, what matters to me, and I win. But I don't like blood shedding, if a battle can be avoided, I'd choose that option"

"What does 'family' means to you?", she asked, seeing a slight change on his face. This time he didn't reply as quickly as before, he remained silent for a while before talking.

"Your highness, I assume you knew what happened to me, I didn't get a chance to live with my family, I don't remember how it was, and I can barely imagine how it would be now", he replied honestly, something she appreciated.

"If you have one, what will you do for it?"

"Protect it with everything I've got, even if I have to die for it", this time again, he replied quickly.

"What if you had a child?"

"I'll try to be to him or her, just like how your father is to you", he replied, with an answer that she liked, making a slight smile to form on her lips.

"Well, if you don't have anything to ask me, you can leave, Sasuke", she said, apparently not wanting to know more, her father had already explained everything else, yet for the rest of the things, it is for her to discover through time.

"It is not a question, but I want to say something if I may", he said, looking aside for a while, as if he wasn't sure.

"Of course, I hear you", she nodded.

"You're beautiful"

He said turning back to her, making her eyes widen slightly as she blushed. It was the first time someone tells her that, aside from her father of course. Not because she wasn't pretty, but no one had the chance nor the guts to say that to her directly.

"...thank y-you...", she managed to say.

"May I leave now, your royal highness?", he requested, bowing down respectfully.

"Yes"
