Waking up from her recharge felt like she was waking up from a weeklong sleep. Mostly because Azura had been focused on practicing her abilities in her dream world that she really did not want to wake up. However, she was dragged out of it and she woke up and found herself still within Optimus's chassis. She felt very happy because it felt like home to her. And she no longer felt any kind of cold in her system, which was great. She smiled as she knew that Optimus's body had warmed her system now, and she would not need to have a lot of worry over her for a while. She stretched out her limbs with a yawn.
She heard a gentle hum from above and felt movement around her. She smiled as she knew Optimus was now aware that she is awake. She nuzzled into the seat as she listened to the pulse of his spark. She almost did not wish to leave the safety and warmth of the chassis. As she did so, she saw a fuel line extend down from a panel that opened just above her and she giggled softly as she took a hold of it. She placed the tip into her mouth to drink the energon.
"Morning, Optimus." Azura glanced at the wall of the chassis as she could just hear Ratchet's voice outside. "How is our little sparkling? Is she feeling much better? I see she must still be inside your chassis, so I am going to assume she is either still in recharge, or she does not wish to come out."
"Azura no longer feels cold to the touch," Optimus responded gently to Ratchet. "She is awake, and she is currently feeding on the low-grade energon. She only woke up a few minutes ago."
Ratchet chuckled gently in amusement. "I have to say, Optimus. If things like this happen more often, she might become a little too accustomed to being within your chassis. I have no doubt she enjoys it, as she was there as a new spark so long ago..."
"Even if that were to happen, Ratchet, I am willing to allow it while she is still small enough," Optimus interrupts gently, placing his hand on his chassis. "I feel as though there is a good enough excuse to allow it."
"I at least see that this will be a soft spot for you, Optimus," Ratchet said in a teasing tone. "When Azura is finished feeding bring her to the med bay. I want to make sure there is no damage to her systems. I hate to say it, but they could be weak for a while."
Optimus nodded as he understood. "Would it mean that she is too weakened to practice her abilities?"
Ratchet paused as he pondered on the question for a moment. "I don't really know, Optimus. To be fair, there has not been a Cybertronian in history with her abilities. We are kind of going by each day, honestly. But I would hope not. Do you still intend to take her to an island?"
He nodded again affirmatively. "It has been pushed back a lot, Ratchet. I know the ground bridge has only just been fixed, but I do believe Azura needs the training. She needs a lot of it in order to not hurt herself whenever she uses her powers."
"Well...I guess it should be fine. I will be here dealing with Wheeljack's ship anyway." Ratchet turned his head as he saw Wheeljack walking into the lobby. "Were you able to get a good recharge last night, Wheeljack?"
Wheeljack smiled politely at the medic. "I feel well, doc. It has been a while since I have been able to power down properly, as travelling through the stars with potential to encounter decepticons does not necessarily give a restful recharge." He chuckled a little as he turned to Optimus. "I overheard the conversation as I was walking in. The little one has recovered from the chill, or at least she no longer feels cold. She's a tough little one, despite her age and size."
Optimus sighed a little. "Did Ratchet tell you the story about her existence and how she ended up on Earth last night?"
"Yep. The doc told me all about it after you left to recharge, boss." Wheeljack softened his expression a little. "I remember that blast myself. A few of the wreckers ended up being infected with those sparks. It is just such a monstrous thing for Megatron to do. And I am not going to forget that time."
