Chapter 90

Megatron was pleased that the sparkling had finally said something, even though the sparkling was frightened of him. As she should be. Megatron knew that the first time they met wasn't the best, especially as he was harbouring Bumblebee's mind at the time, and scared her more than a few times. But now he had an opportunity to properly introduce himself. And Megatron knew that this wouldn't be easy, especially as Azura could hear the fight going on outside the forest. Megatron, Starscream and some vehicons were on a mission that he had originally brought the decepticons for, but when they had noticed Optimus Prime with his sparkling, and no other autobot present, Megatron could not help himself. He wanted to take the opportunity, and ensured that Optimus would not be aware that Megatron and Starscream would follow Azura, while he was dealing with the vehicons. And it has worked out so far.

"Yes, I am your sire." Megatron knelt down and the sparkling stepped back more. "You are in no danger, young Azura." She flinched when he called her by her name. "If you think I have the intention of harming you, I can assure you, that is not my intent. I simply want to offer the chance of allowing you to get to know me. After all, without me, you would not exist." Azura frowned at him as she listened to him. "And it seems, you are stronger than me." Starscream looked at Megatron in surprise, but he said nothing. "Especially since you would have been nothing more than a new spark when Optimus had you jettisoned from our planet."

Azura stared at him as she ducked by another tree, still with a frown on her face. "But you didn't create me for good intentions. You wanted to destroy Optimus. You wanted me to be the destructive part...that is why you made me." Megatron shrugged as he could not deny that. "And all of my siblings too. They perished, and you probably don't care." Megatron did not react to her, he only listened. "Why would I want to know you? Especially when you created me as a weapon, and not a sparkling you might want to know."

"Alright, I admit that was my original intent when those sparks were created." Azura's frown deepened as tears fill her optics. "However, what I had done in the past was only a one-time thing. The energy to have all of those habloid sparks created was immense. And I never did it again." That did not make Azura feel any better. "When I heard that you were alive, I could not help but be surprised. I never thought any of them would have survived. But you did. And..." Megatron gestured to her and she flinched back again. "It seems you are growing well. I must thank Optimus for taking such good care of you, even if he never got to experience the full term of carrying." He chuckled lightly. "I can't help but wonder how he would look in full bloom."

Starscream chuckled lightly. "Hmm...well...it would have only made it worth capturing him to ensure that sparkling to be born safely, out of harms way." Megatron nodded in agreement, though Azura certainly did not like hearing that. "I apologize for not being able to retrieve the sparkling during this time, master. But now..."

"You could have killed me when we first met!" Azura snapped at Starscream, making the seeker flinch in surprise. Megatron seemed surprised, and Azura whimpered when she felt like she said something. "Oh...uh...I guess...w-w-when I had...my...h-human skin on...uh..."

"You almost killed her?" Megatron questioned as he glanced at Starscream curiously, interrupting the sparkling. Starscream flinched in surprise and his wings seemed to go down, and he was clearly terrified right now. "I imagine she is not lying. Sparklings are a little too good at telling the truth, and only lie when they did something wrong, or want something specific."

"Oh, uh...um...well..." Starscream clasped his fingers together nervously as he was not expecting that to get brought up. "Um...well, Soundwave and I...we tried to get the sparkling at the time, and we were a bit creative..."

"And you thought it was right to keep that from me?" Megatron narrowed his optics at Starscream as the seeker backed away. "Hmmph...I'll have to ask Soundwave later." He turned back to Azura and she had backed away some more. He cleared his throat before he continued. "I must confess, when I first saw you officially through the optics of the scout, I realized that I kind of feel guilty..."
