Auditorium/ArenaTeam RWBYS filed into the packed auditorium, their eyes widening at the sight of a crowd eagerly awaiting the match between Sasuke Rose and Cardin Winchester.
"I don't know whether to be worried or excited. My brother's already picking fights in his first week like a total delinquent," Yang quipped, half-joking but with a trace of concern.
"It'll be quick," Sasuke said, adjusting his gloves with a calm confidence. "You don't have to come."
Blake gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "We want to see you fight. We're here to support you. Besides, we're a team."
"Good luck out there, Sasuke," Weiss added, her tone unusually warm.
"Kick his butt, brother!" Ruby cheered, her energy infectious as she raised a fist in the air.
Sasuke sighed, giving a small nod before heading to the arena. On the opposite side, Cardin Winchester stood with his usual arrogant smirk, mace in hand.
"I think we all know the rules of a duel," Glynda Goodwitch announced, her voice carrying authority. "Whoever is thrown out of bounds, has their aura reduced below 15%, or concedes defeat will lose. Let the match begin." The buzzer rang, signaling the start.
"Hey, Eye-freak, where's your weapon?" Cardin sneered, trying to bait Sasuke.
"I don't need a weapon to fight someone like you," Sasuke retorted coolly. "My fists will be enough."
"If you say so, idiot," Cardin mocked, gripping his mace as the fight began.
Sasuke moved first, a blur of speed as he closed the distance. Cardin swung his mace, but before he could react, Sasuke's fist connected with his liver in a brutal strike, followed by a swift kick to the jaw and a rapid series of punches to the gut.
The crowd gasped, and Team RWBYS watched in stunned silence as Cardin staggered back, groaning in pain. But despite the onslaught, Cardin's aura held, and he gripped his mace tighter, readying for another attack.
Sasuke retreated, a calculated move that left Cardin seething. "What, scared? You might end up soiling yourself after this because now I'm getting serious!" Cardin taunted, trying to regain control of the fight.
Sasuke's gaze remained steady. "No. I'm just going to do something you won't expect."
"Huh!? What are you talking about?" Cardin glanced around, trying to anticipate Sasuke's next move, but suddenly, the ground beneath him cracked. Hands emerged from the earth, grabbing his feet and pulling him down until only his head was visible. The crowd erupted in shocked murmurs, and even Glynda looked surprised.
"ARGH! Wha—HOW?!" Cardin shouted, struggling helplessly against the unseen force.
Sasuke stepped closer, his voice calm but menacing. "I'll give you two choices: concede now and I win, or I'll keep hitting your head until your aura drops below 15%. The harder I hit, the faster your aura will deplete. You have five seconds to decide. One..." Sasuke began his countdown, his tone unwavering. "Two..."
Cardin thrashed about, his fear growing. "I WILL NEVER GIVE UP!" he shouted, defiance masking his panic.
Sasuke didn't hesitate, delivering a precise kick to Cardin's nose. "Argh—!" Cardin's aura plummeted from 80% to 60%. "Think again. Four..."
Realizing he was outmatched, Cardin's resolve crumbled. "I... I give up," he finally conceded, his voice trembling with frustration and defeat. The buzzer sounded, signaling the end of the match.
"And the winner is... Sasuke Rose from Team RWBYS!" Glynda announced, her voice cutting through the auditorium as the crowd erupted in applause.
Sasuke helped Cardin out of the ground, the two exchanging a brief, tense glance before Sasuke made his way back to his teammates.
