my heart frantically beats against my ribcage and my palms moisten as i make my way to the guidance and counselling teacher's room.
"hi, welcome to my office. how may i help you young man?" she asks with an comforting smile on her smile.
"it's not me," i begin and i feel my stomach turn violently and the words get caught in my throat. am i really doing this? "a f-friend of mine needs help."
she stares at me for a moment through her thick glasses. "what does your friend need help with?"
"she-" i pause. "i'm sorry i can't do this."
as i leave the room i bump into someone. my hands wrap around their skinny arms to try and steady them. i look up and it's you.
"watch where you're-" you stop mid sentence as your eyes lock with mine. "oh, you've got to be kidding me!"
"you okay?" i ask even though i know you're not. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record.
"fuck off man!" and with that you give me a slight push before walking away.
