"Do you want this one? I think this one is pretty.." Sabay pakita ko sa isang magarbong set up ng reception sa ipad na hawak ko.
Tinignan niya lang ito sandali atsaka siya tumango.
"So this one!" Masaya kong sabi.
"Tita. Vince said that he wants na this." Atsaka ko pinakita ang ipad ko sa kaniya.
"Hmm.. That one is great! Beautiful! Lalo na maganda din ang ikakasal.." Nakangiting puri niya sa akin.
"You know what iho.. Cheska is very happy that you'll be his husband.." My mother said to Vince.
While Vince smiled.
Hindi ko alam kung bakit kanina pa siya tingin ng tingin sa cellphone niya.
Is he waiting for a call or something?
"So, Kailan niyo balak ikasal?" Tita asked.
"The sooner the better!" Excited na sabi ko.
We are having a lunch here at a 5 star hotel restaurant.
Isa-isang pumasok ang mga waiter para iserved ang mga pagkain na inorder namin.
"What do you think iho?" My mother asked him.
"Iho?" She called him out when he's not listening.
He's literally physically present but mentally absent!
"Uhm yes.. Kayo? I'll leave the deciding to you tita. Any date is good to me." He answered.
Medyo naiinis na ako dahil parang hangin lang siya dito.
"You know what mama. The sooner the better. Next month?" I told my mom.
"What do you think tita?" I asked Vince mother na medyo nagulat sa desisyon ko.
"The sooner the better right?" Ulit ko pa.
"Ahhh-ehhhh ye-s.. I think next month is also good." Then she let out a fake laugh.
This woman really wants me to be her daughter in law because of our family's share.
Business is business.
That's how our fate runs.
Buti nalang talaga at gustong-gusto ko si Vince.
Pero kung ibang lalaki? No way!
" So next month it is!" Excited na sabi ko.
I look at him but his still busy looking at his phone.
Don't tell me he's waiting for that woman?!
AVERY GISON'S POV
Tapos na ang oras ng trabaho namin at heto ako..
Nasa harapan ng isang mamahaling coffee shop.
I entered it and saw a woman in her mid 40's waiting..
She's elegant from head to toe.
"Good Evening Mrs. Velasco.." I greeted her and bow slightly.
"Good Evening Secretary Gison." Diniinan niya talaga yung word na secretary!
Hindi maganda ang kutob ko sa pakikipag kita niya sa akin ngayong gabi.
She ordered me to be sited and i followed.
May naka ready ng kape sa harapan ko.
"Hindi na ako magpapaligoy-ligoy pa.." Paninimula niya.
Biglang bumilis ang puso ko dahil mukhang pamilyar sa akin ang scenario na ito. Thanks to those telenovela i watch when i'm in high school.
