February 28th

"Mummy."

I hummed with my eyes shut, not wanting to wake up Lizzie.

"Mummy," Natasha repeated.

I opened my eyes and looked at my daughter who was standing at the side of my bed with a huge frown on her face.

"Tasha what's wrong," I whispered, sitting up quickly.

Lizzie groaned slightly and opened her eyes to look at what was going on. Natasha's shoulders shook gently as she started to cry.

"Hey, hey, hey," I said, "baby, has something happened?"

"I'm sorry," she cried.

"Why are you sorry?" I asked, moving out of the bed and sitting on the floor next to it, "come here," I said, patting the spot next to me.

She sat down and bought her knees up to her chest, biting her cheek.

"Natasha darling, what's wrong?" I asked, turning to look at her.

She shook her head, "I don't know I- I had a dream b-but it was real and then it wasn't and I- I-"

"Take a few deep breaths," I told her, placing my hands on her knees.

She nodded and took some deep breaths with me. Lizzie had fully woken up and moved to the side of the bed, placing her hand on the back of my head.

"Nat," Lizzie said softly, "you can talk to us, it's okay."

She wiped her eyes with the back of her hands and looked up at her mom. She bit her cheek and then mumbled something that neither of us could make out. Lizzie furrowed her brows and looked at me and then back at our daughter. I picked Natasha up and put her on my lap, instantly feeling her wet pj bottoms.

"Tasha did you wet the bed? Is that why you're so upset?" I asked, rubbing my hand up and down her back.

She nodded, "y-you and mommy d-died and I didn't have my sister and y-you died," she sobbed, "p-please don't die."

"Natasha, me and your mom are not going anywhere," I told her gently.

Her shoulders shook and she cuddled into me tightly, sobbing her little heart out.

"Baby," Lizzie sighed, reaching out to hold Nat's hand, "darling, can you look at me?"

Nat picked her head up and looked at Lizzie with glossy eyes.

"Natasha Lyn, we are not going to die, okay?" Lizzie said.

Nat nodded slowly, "how do you know?" she asked.

"Because a family is forever," Lizzie whispered with a sad smile.

I nodded, "we could never leave each other, even if we tried."

"Can I sleep in your bed for the rest of tonight?" Natasha asked.

"Of course," I smiled, kissing her head.

"Let's get you cleaned up first," Lizzie followed, standing up and holding her hand out towards Natasha.

I watched as they walked off toward the bathroom while I was tasked with taking off her bedsheets and putting them in the wash. By the time I came back to our bedroom. Nat was in Lizzie's arms sobbing uncontrollably.

"Y/N I- I- I don't know what happened, she was okay and then she closed her eyes to go back to sleep and then she- she just started crying again," Lizzie said quickly.

"It's okay," I sighed, sitting next to them and cupping Nat's cheek so she would look at me, "Natasha, I want you to take a big deep breath and count to ten the way I taught you."
