  "Hey Oakley, your going into town right?" Beth asked me, it was about mid day and I needed to run into town.
   "Yeah what's up?" I replied.
   "Will you run to my office I forgot my purse, I will call my assistant and tell you coming."
   "Yeah sure." I say grabbing my keys. I grabbed one of the Yellowstone trucks, and jumped in. I hated going into town but I loved driving through the field and woods. After my stop I was ready to go to Beth's office. I parked the truck and walked inside it was quiet and all the lights were off, I thought was odd because her assistant was supposed to be here.
   "Hello." I yell. "Shit." I see the assistant oh the floor coverd in blood, I run over to him and checked his pulse.
    "Hold shit your dead." I say panicked. All the sudden a turn around and two men are standing there with masks on. The first man tries to grab me and I grab a pen at the nearest table. I stabbed him in the eye with it.
   "Fuck face." I spit at him. The other man hit me to the ground.
    "This doesn't look like Beth Dutton, she had red hair." The man said to the other bleeding.
    "Fuck, how the hell did you mess this up." I here him yell back.
    "Fucken idiots." I say laughing.
     "What was that?" The man not bleeding came over to me.
     "I said you two are fucken idiots, you should have thought before you messed with any member of the dutton family, because even if you kill me, they will bury you 10 minutes later." I say with a smirk. The man beat me intill I could barely stay awake.

  Rips pov

"Hey Beth have you seen Oakley. She was supposed to be back by now we had work to do." I asked
  "Yeah umm like 4 hours ago she went into town I asked her to get my purse from the office and thinking now she really should have been back." Beth said confused.
   "Uh yeah and I can't get a hold of her, I think I might go Into town." I say kinda worried. I get in the truck and start to drive. I tried to call her again and her phone is going straight to voice mail. Shit I slam my phone on the dash and drive faster, I had a feeling she was in trouble.

Oakleys pov

"You look great buddy." I say laughing to the man bleeding out.
  "Shut the fuck up bitch, but man I ain't doing great." The one guy says. The other guy came over to me and stood me up. He kicked my knee out and I fell next to Beth's assistant. The guy grabbed my hair.
   "He had family, and I killed him, because of your fucken last name, you think your the ruler of this valley you and your fucken family." The man said. The other man is dead, he bleed out.
   "You think your much better, killing innocent men?" I say spitting out blood. I could barely open my left eye.  All the sudden a chair came through the window.  3 gun shots rang out. There were smashing and banging. I felt a man grabbed my arm and say my name. It was rip.
  "Darlin, darlin, Oakley hey hey." He says pulling me into a hug. I grabbed his waist and it was wet. I pulled my hand away and it was red.
   "Rip your bleeding, bad." I say with a shake voice.
    "I am fine, we need to take care of you hunny." He says pulling away and calling my dad. While he is on the phone he but his hand over his wound.
    "Your dads on the way with the vet." He says sitting on the couch, Groaning. "Fuck, ah."
    "Rip, you need a hospital not a vet." I say voice still shaking.
     "Well good thing the vets not for me it's for you." Rip says, I sit next to rip and apply pressure to his gun shot wound.

My dad and the vet showed up with Kayce and Lloyd.
  "Lloyd get rid of rhe body's." My dad says. The vet was tending to rip and I was still sitting next to him.
   "I can't take care of him here." The vet says.
    "Shit just give me some fucken pain meds and stitch it up." Rip said angerly.
    "Thats Uh not how it works." The vet said nervously. Kayce and Lloyd help rip stand up. My dad stopped me.
    "Are you ok?" He asked
    "I wanna go with him." I say looking at my dad. He gave me a nod and I chased after rip. We got to the back of the truck, Lloyd was driving and the vet was in the back with rip.

Two days later

I have been staying on the couch of the foremans house and rip has been sleeping in his bed.
   "This fucken sucks." Rip said Groaning walking out of this room.
    "Go lay back down." I say
     "Hell Oakley, I have slept more in the last two days then I did of last year."
     "How are you feeling?" I ask
     "I am fine, I told that, what about you." He said walking over and looking at my face.
    "Face hurts." I say laughing it gets quiet and I say "Rip, thank you."
    "Your welcome darling." He says and I hug him. He pulls back and looks at me again.
     "Still beautiful." He says very quietly.
     "What?"
      "Nothing." He says blowing it off. But I could here him and now I am thinking about what Beth said.
