Chapter 10 : Seriously!

Next day.
It's evening time. Karan was roaming around the room. He was thinking about how he can approach Monami.
Ka : Aah....Kya karu? Secret mission ke liye Faizi ko bhi bulay nahi sakta. Woh hote to kuch idea de sakti. Kya karu? Kya karu?......Ideaaaaa!
Karan goes to the garden and picks up a rose. He smiles seeing the rose. The thorns of the rose cause him a small cut. Then he goes to the dispensary. He sees Monami alone checking some files.
Ka : Dr Satya Barma.
Mo : Ha.
Monami was a little irritated and shocked to see Karan.
Mo(in manly voice) : Sir aab is time pe all okay.
Ka : Teen baate.
Monami was about to raise her hands but composed herself. This didn't go unnoticed by our Karan. He smiles a little thinking that Monami still didn't forget about it. But hides it fast.
Ka : Pehli tum khudki real voice se baat kaar sakta hai.
Monami glares at him.
Ka : Dekho mujhe sab pata hai aur aisa baat karogi to vocal cords mai pressure hoga. Aur tum to doctor ho mujse accha jante ho.
Mo(now in real voice) : Dusri.
Karan was on cloud nine. Monami agreed to his advice. He was dancing inside.
Ka : Dusri ki tum mujhe sir nahi bologi to accha hoga. Waise bhi tum mera senior ho. Aur teesri ki waise kuch nahi mujhe. Sirf ek chota sa cut hai. Khoon bhi nikaal rahi hai.
Mo : What? Mujhe dekhne do. Humesha se aise careless kaam karte hu tum. Thoda khud pe bhi to dhyaan rakha karo Karan.
Hearing his name from Monami's mouth was like a dream come true for Karan. He knows that Monami still loves him. On the other side, Monami didn't notice the cut while talking. But after noticing the cut, she was surprised. The cut-

Mo : Karan, seriously. Itni choti se cut ke liye tum yeh paar aya.
Ka : Kyu mujhe daard nahi hota kya?
Mo : Nahi. Par ek special agent se yeh ummed nahi thi mari.
Ka : To kya ummed thi aapki raani sahiba?
Monami was happy hearing raani sahiba from Karan's mouth. But she suddenly got flashes of that day and shrugs off the feeling. She quietly bandaged Karan's so-called cut. Meanwhile, Karan was noticing every moment of his raani sahiba. After bandaging the cut-
Mo : Ho gaya. You can go now.
Ka : Thanks Monami.
Monami just nodded her head.
Ka : Monami woh...
Mo : Special agent Karan Shergil, I think aab tume jana chaiya. Koi dekh lega hume. Kisiko shaak ho sakta hai.
Karan just gave an understanding node and left the dispensary.
Ka(in mind) : Monami yeh to sirf shuruat hai aage aage dekho hota hai kya.
