CHARLOTTE — CHARLIE — RUSHED AROUND THE TRAILER, picking up her school books: US History, English Lit, Math, Biology. She shoved each one into her shoulder bag with a heavy sigh, heading from her cluttered bedroom to the even more cluttered living room / kitchen / dining room. Her eyes wandered around the room, confused as to where her pencil case had gone until she found Hopper laying on the couch, half-naked, using it as a very uncomfortable pillow.

“Hops, move,” she told him, trying to push his head up so she could grab her pencil case from underneath him without fully waking him up. However, he just groaned, sinking his face deeper into it. “Seriously, Hops. Move out the way.” Charlie flicked his head twice and Hopper let out a grunt, turning over the other way and letting the pencil case fall onto the floor.

The girl leaned down, picked it up and stuffed it into her bag, standing back upright and looking down at her uncle with a frown. Rolling her eyes, she dropped the bag to the floor and walked into his bedroom, grabbing the blanket that was flung over the end of the bed. Wandering back, she covered Hopper with it, the man hugging it towards him immediately and she smiled faintly, turning around and grabbing her bag again.

Grabbing her car keys from the bowl by the door, she was about to walk outside, when she heard another grunt from the couch.

“Have a nice day, kid,” Hopper slurred, head turning towards her, but his eyes were still closed and he fell right back to sleep after, drool pouring from his mouth.
