*** Hey guys, here is another chapter between Isaac and Evonne. A little slow paced at the moment, but we'll get there soon enough. As always, comment, vote and follow me. Support and share my stores. ***

Isaac burst out the doors of the cafeteria. His lungs ached as he sprinted down the hall inhumanly fast, but no matter how far he moved, he could still smell her. Her scent clouded his mind, suffocated him until there was nothing but this new psychic connection.

God dammit.

Isaac closed his eyes as he rounded the corner. It was like her scent had permanently taken resident in the walls of the school. No place was safe. He needed to get out. Fresh air would help, but he was so disoriented, the school might as well have been a labyrinth.

Isaac cursed as he was tackled to the side, his body being shoved against a nearby wall hard enough that plaster ran down his clothing. He pushed away from the hole he left in the wall and swung blindly at the assailant, but whoever was nearby was fast and agile and managed to evade his attack, only to unleash another attempt on Isaac.

Isaac snarled and felt his canines sprout in his mouth. Go for the throat, but before he could tear at his attacker, a familiar scent work its way to his mind enough for Isacc to finally think clearly. He stopped fighting and opened his eyes. "Zac?" He didn't think he would continue attacking one of his friends, but he wasn't in a good place. He shoved at Zac's chest hard enough his friend ended up sprawled on the ground.

"Hey!" Zac protested, one arm wrapping around his chest. He wheezed as he stood, something either fractured or broken. No matter, once he shifted, he would soon heal.

"Dude, what the hall?"

"Dude, I'm not the one going all mighty alpha in the middle of the hallway." Zac rubbed at the pain in his side.

"I'm not . . ."

"Your eyes are still flashing, Isa."

Isaac's protests were abruptly cut off. He leaned against the wall, face tilted towards the poor fluorescent lighting. He was definitely losing control. After a few moments, his heartrate slowed enough for his eyes to return to his natural blue.

"You all good?"

Isaac's face tilted towards his friend. He had a weary smile on his face. "Yeah. I think so. For now."

Zac leaned against the wall. "What happened?"

Isaac took a deep breath and turned from his friend. "Evonne."

"Ah." Zac had a knowing glint in his eyes. He already assumed what had happened. This girl, this human, was the only thing that has ever really caused Isaac to lose control before.

"I spoke to her this time."

Zac's face twisted into a concerned expression. "I don't think it's best to seek out this girl, Isaac. Not if you go nuts after every encounter."

Isaac started walking down the hallway again. He wanted to outrun his friend, and his statements, but he didn't. If he really wanted to, he could. For now, Zac trotted at his side, his words circling Isaac's mind. "What do you expect me to do?"

"Stay away from her."

Isaac came up short. It would make more sense if Zac suggested he mated with this girl in the middle of the hallway. "Are you insane! I can't do that."

"You have . . ."

"No," Isaac's words were hard. A couple students stood at a nearby locker. Isaac lowered his voice and turned his back on them. "She's my mate. You want me to stay away from her? You know I can't do that. The bond won't let me."
