CHAPTER 001
"I can't believe I'm back," she murmured, still looking at the three-story house at the top of the Antipolo mountain.
Nothing had changed—the house looked the same as she remembered.
Ang buong bahay ay pinaliligiran ng malalaking punong kahoy kung saan sa likod niyon ay kagubatan na. At alam niyang mula sa third floor ay tanaw ang buong siyudad ng Maynila;
She knew. Of course. Because she used to live there.
She used to spend her boring afternoon in the library and reading some books as she watched the scenic view through the glass wall. She used to cook in the huge modern kitchen where there was a huge glass window overlooking the forest.
Oh, how she missed the place. She had lots of bittersweet memories there. Happy times, hot and wild sex, too.
She inhaled and released the air harshly.
As much as possible, she wanted to refrain from thinking about all the good and bad memories she had in that house.
She was only back for business— nothing more. She had to see him for business reasons, so she had to act professionally. After all, the law tied them together.
Yeah, she needed to stay in this house again for six fucking months.
She waited for a long time before someone opened the door for her— and of course, who else could it be but him?
His bored, fish eyes met hers.
"Been waiting since this morning," he said. His face was void with any emotion so she couldn't really tell how he felt seeing her again after two years of being apart.
