Rosie's POV
"Can we adjust the timing of the lift and make it start to come down a few seconds before the bridge instead of right when it starts?" I asked as I spoke into my microphone. I got a thumbs up from the team and I heard the countdown in my in-ears to start from the chorus before the bridge.
I held the mic stand and sang as the band started to play and the lyrics popped up on the monitor down below in case I needed them. This was the last song before the end of the main show since I will be having an encore part that'll include a few covers since I only have 11 songs to my name.
But because I'm sneaky, the songs that'll be 'covers' are going to be my solo songs from the Blackpink days like On The Ground, Gone, and Hard To Love. That's one loophole that I'm so glad I found.
The bridge for this song was more vocally demanding as I show off quite a bit of my range, so I closed my eyes to really focus and make sure to hit the notes. Once I hit the final note and the noise of the confetti cannons went off (without confetti as we can't be wasting that much for rehearsals), I smiled and opened my eyes up, looking over to y/n's table and seeing her and the girls cheering excitedly for me. That made me smile wider and my heart fluttered seeing the proud look in y/n's eyes.
That gave me the energy to finish the song strong and I was content with the new timing of the lift as I could get off of it right away and take my mic with me to wrap the song up without having to wait a few more seconds for the lift to finish going back down. My heart was racing as we finally got the final song done in terms of timing and whatnot.
It was nearing 7pm, so we will have plenty of time to tweak things for the encore stage section, which shouldn't be too hard since it'll just be me wandering around stage the whole time.
I ended the final song and got on the tape for the main lift to lower me down below the stage. Staff cheered for me and were super happy we got the last part done since now it's just the easy stuff. I thanked them and then waited for a few minutes because the encore will be about 10 minutes after I leave the stage.
"–give me the mic! Rosie! Rosie! Rosie!" I heard Lisa say into a microphone that fed into my in-ears, making me laugh.
"No, it's encore you moron! You're supposed to shout 'encore' over and over, not her name!" I heard Jennie faintly say in my ears making me go back on the lift and stand upright, my head poking out just enough to let my eyes see them at the table with y/n.
Y/n was messing with the transmitter, so I'm guessing she's lowering the volume of the mic since they're yelling at one another. They were using the mic y/n's been using to ask if my in-ears are good in between songs. I'd just shoot her a smile if it was all good or I'd stop and tell her to change a setting. Lisa and Jennie started arguing and Jisoo was now taking a video of the pair.
"Am I hearing you want an encore?" I said into my mic as the girls stopped and looked over to the stage. Their eyes lit up when they saw my head and they cheered, making me take out one of my in-ears to hear them.
"Hell yeah! Sing for us, Rosie!" Jennie shouted with her hands in the air as the other staff that were at various tables joined in on cheering for an encore.
I gave the signal to a staff member and the instrumental to Hard To Love started to play and I got lifted up onto stage. I couldn't even sing properly as I was laughing because Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa got up from their chairs and rushed to stand in front of the stage, cheering and acting like fans.
I eventually calmed down and sang to the three of them, watching them also sing along happily. I wandered around the stage and made sure everything went well in terms of lighting and my in-ears.
