Three Years Later...Again...
Y/n's POV
I drove through downtown Seattle as I made my way to work, humming along to my throwbacks playlist. I had my window cracked open a bit as it was mid spring and the weather wasn't terrible right now. Sure it was 8:37am, so it wasn't as warm as it was going to get come mid day. But the cooler breeze that circulated throughout my car felt nice.
I eventually pulled into the parking lot of my work and hopped out, taking my drink with me as I sipped on the healthier smoothie my girlfriend had made the both of us before I left our house. It was very green in color as there were a bunch of healthy greens in it, but it tasted like mango, so I was all for it. If it tasted like kale or whatever else was in here, I would politely accept it and then dump it out the second I stepped outside of our house.
"Jasmine, good morning!" I said as I waved with my smoothie in hand. The older woman gave me a grin and smiled back,
"Good morning to you as well, y/n."
"Have you been adjusting to the early shift?" I asked her as I wandered over to the large desk in the lobby, stealing a wrapped candy from her little tray. She gave me a hearty chuckle,
"I can only adjust so much to waking up earlier than I normally did for the past 7 years."
"Very true. But I see you have your caffeine, so that's good at least."
"I can't go without my coffee, so it's a must with the early shift," Jasmine said as I unwrapped the candy and popped it into my mouth. She then pointed down to my smoothie, "that looks pretty healthy."
"Mm, it is. Well, that's what my girlfriend told me at least." I said as I chewed on my candy quickly, loving the sweet taste.
"What's in it?"
"God knows what, Jasmine. My girlfriend was already almost done making it when I got into the kitchen, so I have no idea."
"And you didn't bother to ask?" She asked me with a chuckle as I shook my head,
"Nope! I just take whatever my girlfriend hands me and trust her."
"That's a very strong level of trust then."
"Indeed it is," I said as I heard the front door of the lobby open, making me look over to see Milo walking in. I looked back to Jasmine and drummed my fingers on the desk, "well, I think I should probably catch the elevator with Milo. I'll see you tomorrow morning!"
"Alright, have a good day today!" Jasmine told me as I walked away to head over to the elevator as Milo had just arrived there and pressed the button.
"Well good morning, Milo."
"Good morning. How've you and Rosie been with the new house?" He asked me as I grinned,
"We've fully unpacked everything as there were a few boxes in the office we threw in there just to get them out of the way because they didn't have necessities. Hank absolutely loves the backyard and he is always wanting to just lay out there. Rosie's studio is all set up now. I had to wire a few things and whatnot, but we're all good now. And Rosie is still picking out decorations and color themes for the rooms. But all the basic necessities and things from the apartment are all in place." I explained as the elevator had arrived and we got in.
"What the hell did you have to wire in her studio?"
"I had to hook up a backup generator to her computer in there so if there is ever a power outage, her computer won't shut down and lose everything if she's in the middle of recording something."
