Y/n's POV

"You're my girlfriend." Rosie whispered oh so delicately as she looked at me, as if she was scared saying it out loud would break it.

"And you're my girlfriend." I whispered back just as softly as I laid my hand on top of her left hand that was resting on the couch. I saw her eyes glance down at our hands and I moved my gaze down as well once I felt her move her hand a bit.

Rosie slowly turned her hand over and then intertwined our fingers together, holding onto my hand tightly as she began to speak,

"I remember the first time I ever intertwined our fingers together. It was the second before I confessed my feelings to you back then," Rosie started as I lifted my eyes up to see a tearful smile on her face as her eyes stayed locked on our hands, "I always wanted to hold your hand like that long before confessing, but to me this kind of hand holding was one that carries weight; one that is intimate and something lovers did. And now I can hold your hand like this knowing that it carries such weight with a smile on my face because we're together."

I stared at Rosie in awe as she told me how much this simple gesture means to her. I kept my hand interlocked with hers and scooted closer to her on the couch, seeing her eyes finally look back up to meet mine. I took my left hand and cupped her cheek gently, my heart bursting inside my chest when she leaned into my touch with the most precious smile on her lips.

I caressed her cheek with my thumb and I could just see the pure happiness in her brown eyes. Seeing how much her eyes shined as they looked into mine made me a bit emotional. I saw her eyebrows furrow a little and her eyes go big as she noticed tears well up in my eyes,

"What's wrong?"

"I'm so sorry I made you wait this long to be happy." I told her as I let the tears slip out of my eyes and roll down my cheeks. Rosie immediately shook her head and used her right hand to wipe away my tears,

"No, no, there's no need to let your mind wander down that road. Only focus on present us, baby." Rosie said as she brushed a few strands of hair away from my face with her fingers delicately. I nodded my head and breathed out,

"Right, present us." I said as Rosie leaned forward and rested her forehead against mine,

"Only us."

I then felt Rosie's nose brush up against mine before the feeling of her lips on mine took over my brain. I kissed her back and it was a deep and sentimental kiss that we shared. Our fingers were still interlaced and we didn't dare separate our hands while our lips danced together in perfect harmony.

"I still can't believe you're my girlfriend now." Rosie said as she pulled back from the kiss. I grinned at her and gave her an eskimo kiss,

"Better believe it, Rosie. You're stuck with me now."

"Oh my god, I'm going to have to make sure the people in charge of the hotel bookings have you room with me." Rosie quickly said as that apparently dawned on her right that this moment. I chuckled and pecked her lips,

"You can do that tomorrow, babe. Let's eat our sandwiches now because we've put that off for long enough." I said as Rosie then realized I was right.

"Oh my god, how could I forget?!"

Rosie backed away from me slightly and reached over to grab her sandwich, licking her lips and humming happily as she got to work unwrapping it. I watched with an amused and soft smile as Rosie struggled to unwrap her sandwich from its wrapper with just her right hand as she still kept a tight hold of my right hand with her left.
