Rose stiffened, watching the sappy blood drip out of Lennox's wound. The XO groaned before closing his eyes tightly, leaning back into the rock wall. They were caved into a rich Energon pocket with limited resources and even fewer exits. Rose placed her hand on his shoulder, shaking him slightly when he didn't stir, "Lennox, I know it hurts...look at me." Lennox opened his eyes blearily, taking in his surroundings with another groan, "Did it cave us in-in completely?" Rose ignored his question, pushing his hair away to get a better look at the gash. It was large, and blood vessels running just below the surface of the face were nasty bleeders so it was not a pretty sight. Lennox winced when Rose pressed her hand to the spot, wiping the blood away to view the size and depth. She hummed, unlatching a small bag clipped to her thigh and rummaging through the contents to find a small medical kit. Lennox eyed his CO, watching patiently as she laid out the kit, taking inventory of the stock. He blinked, wiping blood off his eyebrow as it dripped down again, staining his face pink. Rose turned on a small pocket flashlight and glanced around the cave, checking the cave holdings before continuing her work silently. She passed the flashlight to the XO without a glance, staring down at her meager emergency rations, water, and medical supplies. She pursed her lips into a tight line, taking the bottle of alcohol spray and dossing her hands, gloving her hands as she turned back to Lennox. Lennox eyed her form in confusion, "You're not going to...you're not a medic." Rose raised her eyebrows at the man, "I don't think you have much of a choice right now...I'm certified in First Aid so just relax okay? I'll walk you through all my steps." Lennox nodded after a while, tentatively letting Rose adjust his hand so the light was shining directly on his wound. She glanced at her medical supplies again, picking up alcohol swaps with a grimace; this would sting, "I'm going to wipe down the area with alcohol swaps okay? It's going to sting for a bit." Lennox groaned, eyeing the wipes distastefully as Rose opened the packaging and held them near the gash. She pulled his hair back, adding his other hand to keep it in place, before swiping over the wound, cleaning much of the dirt and blood away as she could. Lennox hissed at each wipe, flinching away every time the swab came in contact with his skin. Rose placed the dirtied swabe away, satisfied with her cleaning, patting the ruffled XO on his shoulder to signify she was done with that particular portion, "I'm going to place this gauze on now, then I'm going wrap this pre-wrap and finally some athletic tape...how are you doing so far? Does anything else hurt?" Lennox squinted his eyes thoughtfully, trying to concentrate on the throbbing in his head, "I don't think...I don't know...all I can feel is my head." Rose hummed, packing the gauze tight to his head with the pre-wrap, testing the secureness with her fingers, "Can you tell me your name? Where you are right now?" Lennox furrowed his brow in her direction but stilled when she tutted at his movement, "Captain William Lennox...I'm in an Energon cave-you really think I have a concussion?" Rose carefully wrapped the athletic tape over the pre-wrap, making sure to minimize hair or skin touching the sticky surface, "Possibly, I can't tell for sure since you're aware of yourself and your surroundings...there, how does it feel?" Lennox touched the wrapping tentatively before moving his head, slowly, side to side, "Feels better, did you try your comms?" Rose sat back onto her legs, cleaning up her kit and packing it back into the pouch before securing it once more to her thigh, waiting a few minutes before answering, "There down... interference from the Energon but I messaged Optimus and Ratchet...they know where we are and it shouldn't take them long to break threw since it was only a minor rockslide." Lennox nodded, gritting his teeth when the horrible pounding hit again, "So-so we just wait?" Rose nodded slowly, watching his painful movements closely, "I'll recheck that dressing in a couple of minutes...just lay back down for now."

*15 minutes later*

The sound of rock against metal woke Lennox from his resting position. He wasn't even aware when he'd fallen asleep but Rose was pacing next to him, listening closely to the sounds coming from the rock pile-up ahead. Lennox sat up slowly, hissing at the dull pounding in his head where the wound sat. Rose eyed his form, helping the XO to his feet when he motioned to stand next to her. A resounding screech filled the air as the rocks slid out from each other, revealing the Autobot team. Acree slipped through first, assessing the two humans before carefully lifting them through the simple hole Bulkhead, no doubt, had created. Once cleared, the team filled out of the cave and into the dim sunlight. Lennox breathed a sigh of relief, relishing the feeling of a breeze licking at his stuffy uniform and the sun warming him from up above. Rose blinked as her eyes adjusted to the light change, smiling at the group, "Thanks for the rescue." Optimus, who had taken her in his servo so after she broke through the rocks, responded for the group, "Although I can not say this was a good experience...we have also uncovered a large Energon mine...the likes of which will benefit us for months." Rose nodded, eyes twinkling with mirth, "I'm glad...we better get going before Princess gets worse." Lennox rolled his eyes from his perch in Ironhide's chest plates, tapping the glass so it retracted, "I heard that! I'm fine...Mitsy will have me fixed up in no time." Rose sighed, "Alright twinkle toes, don't get all fired up." Lennox opened his mouth to retort but he was silenced by Ironhide's glass slipping back over his plating, cutting off the XO. Lennox tapped the glass again but gave up once it gave no sign of budging. Rose snorted but was quickly distracted by the green swirl of the ground bridge opening up, offering them a tantalizing view of the base on the other side. The team stepped through quickly, placing the two humans down once they were safely in the main hangar. Mitsy and Ratchet stepped forward immediately, assessing possible damages to the bots or humans. Mity tutted at the recent wrapping, quickly stripping it to get a closer look at the XO's wound. Lennox hissed at her forceful hands but stilled when Mitsy moved to touch the gash. She puzzled over the wrappings and the crusted wound before turning to measure Rose with a raised look. Rose shrugged her shoulders, backing into one of the squishy common area chairs to watch the pair. Ratchet seemed to find the situation amusing while others found it puzzling, "Did Rose wrap ya up? She ain't even trained in that stuff and it looks as good as one of Misty's." Ironhide cycled his optics to view the discarded bandages again as Rose answered his observation, "I'm certified in First Aid." Mitsy sent Rose another pointed look but when the CO didn't elaborate she focused on cleaning/redressing Lennox's wound. Ironhide noticed the tension between the pair, snorting, "What ya looking at each other for?" Mitsy opened her mouth but Rose glared in her direction, effectively cutting off the medic, "It's nothing." Mitsy humphed, finishing with the XO and guiding him to the med bay with a call over her shoulder, "It's "nothing"...if you hadn't wrapped him up like that he would have been a lot worse off." Rose pursed her lips, "Just doing what I was trained to do..." Mitsy stopped in place, turning back to retort, softly, "If you're supposed to do what you were trained for you wouldn't be a soldier...now would you?" Rose stiffened under the confused gazes swapped between the Autobots overhead. Ratchet didn't look entirely surprised at this cryptic discovery but Optimus looked as lost as the rest of the team, "You were not meant to be a soldier?" Rose shrugged awkwardly, rubbing at the back of her head before responding carefully, "Not...really." Ironhide ex-vented, steaming boiling out his olfactory system, "A medic?" Rose nodded with a small smile, "Doctor really...long story." Ironhide shook his helm in bewilderment before it turned to open curiosity, "I've got all night."
