Rose shook out her wet hair, scrunching the ends to get the pieces to curl into her natural waves. The water rolled seamlessly off of her and onto the ground, creating a small puddle on the floor of her bathroom. Rose flipped her hair back over her shoulder and looked over her appearance in the fogged mirror, wiping away the condensation to see her face. She smiled faintly at herself before backtracking out of her private bathroom and into her room, relaxing into her fluffy pj's. The base had been hit with an enormous storm, bringing all work efforts crashing to a halt as thunder and lightning started up. Rose smiled again; she'd been on patrol when the storm started so when she returned, soaked to the bone, she was able to get in a nice shower earlier than expected. The CO snagged one of the blankets off of her bed and exited the room, leaving behind the darkened and quiet soldier's housing to lounge in the common area. She wasn't alone. Optimus, Ratchet, Ultra Magnus, and Wheeljack were assembled throughout the lounge, the majority holding datapads or in Wheeljack's case, fiddling with a small car engine he'd snagged from the scrapyard. A peal of thunder boomed overhead, making the engineer twitch slightly before focusing his attention back on his work. Rose flung herself into the nearest couch, snuggling into her blanket and watching the storm from the silo windows. Ratchet looked up briefly from the datapad in his servos, greeting her with a grunt while Optimus smiled her way; neither of them inclined to break the silence. Ultra Magnus couldn't be bothered to move from his readings but Wheeljack offered her a small wave, whispering, "What'd ya think of the storm?" Rose eyed the wrecker's work curiously before returning her gaze to the pouring rain outside, "Cold and wet...not the best combination but hopefully it doesn't last too much longer." Wheeljack nodded, setting his own gaze on the rain-slicked environment, "Guess my visit will be extended." Rose chuckled, settling into the couch further, "Looks like it, we've got extra habs though so you should be alright." The wrecker hummed, placing his car engine aside to settle further into the chair he occupied, his eyes fixing on Ultra Magnus next to him reflexively. Rose smirked, eyeing the pair as their EM fields curled companionably around each other. Wheeljack sensed her stare, flickering his optics jovially as the commander briefly locked their servos together; all while engrossed in his readings. Rose rolled her eyes at the scene, pleased the commander was being open with his relationship but still amused by his actions. Another EM field rolled over her own, soothing away her thoughts and adding to the calm effect the rainy day was having on the CO. Ratchet's lip plating twitched at the corners when Rose pulsed calm thoughts to their shared bond. Optimus joined after a few minutes, his own serenity adding to the pairs. Rose let out a deep breath, closing her eyes to listen to the faint sounds of rain against the doors, "What have you guys been up to today?" Rose felt the bond quiver before Optimus answered, his tone subdued, "The weather has made scouting...difficult so I resorted to data coding as you see now...it is basic work." Ratchet's own words followed right after, "Boring work is what he really means but I can't say much else for the stuff I'm reading...nothing else to work on for once." Rose smiled, "Sometimes boring work is needed especially with your line of work." Ratchet hummed across their bond, "Yeah, yeah...being busy makes the day go by a lot faster I can tell you that much." Optimus nodded in agreement, his bond distracted before snapping to attention again.
