The four of them track John down at some warehouse. They enter the building cautiously and see's John kneeling on the ground, head down on the shield. John gets up muttering, "Time to go to work."
John walks towards them looking like he is in a daze. "Walker..." Sam quietly says.
"You guys should see a medic, you don't look so good," John remarks making them shake their heads. John starts to pace.
"Stop, Walker," Sam says and John looks at him and scoffs, "What? You saw what happened. You know what I had to do. I killed him because I had to! He killed Lemar!"
"He didn't kill Lemar, John," Bucky states.
"It was Karli," Aurora says. "He may not have been innocent. But you killed the wrong guy in anger. We understand that you just lost your best friend. And for that I am truly sorry."
John sighs shaking his head. "You can still make things right," Hallie says.
"Don't go down that road. Believe me, it doesn't end well," Bucky says and John scoffs narrowing his eyes at him, "I'm not like you." Bucky looks down.
"Listen, it was the heat of the battle. Okay? If you explain what happened, they may consider your record. We don't want anyone else to get hurt," Sam says and John looks down as they are getting through to him a little. "John... You gotta give me the shield, man."
John looks up and looks at them. "Oh..." John scoffs. "Oh, so that's what this is. You almost got me."
"You made a mistake," Sam says and John shakes his head. "You don't wanna do this."
"Yeah we do," Bucky responds. They look at each other before Bucky makes the first move to grab the shield from John. Bucky goes in for a punch and hits the shield as John ducks before Bucky then goes and swing kicks as Sam does the same. John kicks Sam back causing Sam to fall while John kicks Bucky on his side. Bucky grunts as he holds onto the shield trying to pull it away from John. Bucky goes and tries to grab John's gun from his belt but John elbows Bucky in the face causing Bucky to stumble. Hallie runs up and punches John while Aurora starts blasting him as he continues to block the hits. John puts the shield up about to hit Bucky in the face and Aurora flies over and tackles John.
"John! Stop this madness and give us the damn shield!" Aurora shouts as she punches John in the face while Hallie joins and kicks him. John grabs onto Hallie's leg and throws her across the room before punching Aurora in the face causing her to fall down. Sam flies in and kicks John away as John. John throws Sam down to the ground as Bucky runs up and continuously punches the shield back to back. Both glaring at each other a Bucky tries again to pull the shield off of John. John pushes the shield down so Bucky loses his grip and elbows him in the side. Bucky goes for a punch but cuts a machine in half while John jumps out of the way.
Sam runs up and John spin kicks kicking Sam across the face. John yells as he throws the shield hard right at Bucky causing him to fly back hitting a tractor. John sprints over to Bucky pushing him back grabbing the shield. "Why are you making me do this?" John's voice goes into a low growl.
