Where am I? It's very green in here.. And cold. So, so cold. It hurts to swim... The exhaustion from before is still killing me today. My arm... I'm glad I made it waterproof, but... It's making it harder to rise when I try to swim. Strangely... It seems like I should be deaf, but I can hear more than ever now. I can hear the voices of those I once knew... They're telling me something but I can't make it out. I can hear Loon up there too. Barely see him as well... Is this how I'm going to die? Drowned in some unsanitary, filthy water where creatures sleep? ...God. What a pathetic death for a pathetic creature. I wish I could've helped, back then. I saw my parents, held by the throat by that... That thing. I wish... I wish I could have helped so much... Now they're dead because of me. So are the rest. Maybe I deserve this. A cold place, silent, where no one will know HOW I die. Except for Loon, I guess. I kinda wish I was nicer. I wish I could take everything back. Everything. I'm sorry Loon, I'm sorry Ma n' Pa... I'm sorry that I was too weak.

[Something moves nearby... 3 Salamanders open their jaws, ready to swallow him whole.]

Well, at least it isn't SO bad, drowning is probably worse than just being eaten by three Sayelle.

[Suddenly, the creatures look down, at the black abyss, and flee.]

Huh? What happened? Were... Were they scared?

[He stared down at the abyss... And the Abyss responded with a deep growl.]

Wait... That growl... I know that growl... [The noise returned... But much, much closer. Tech started swimming upward again, fearing for what he was about to face... He stared into the abyss once more... And it stared back. Deep in the blackness of the water, the glowing red scales began to approach. The mouth of the nearly extinct beast approached soon after. The mouth had sharp teeth, and a body long enough to touch the bottom of the water with ease, always swimming in the darkness, waiting to be discovered by someone unfortunate enough to sink too far. One of the last Apex Leviathans have risen, and when it opened its mouth, a horrible sound came out, one of rage and hunger. One that is feared by all. And it saw Tech as its food.]

That's not possible... They're supposed to be extinct! They died because they never got enough food to support them!

[It was then that he noticed that the seemingly normal underwater plantation were in fact not plants at all... Rather fins. Fins of another large beast, but they never moved. That had to mean that this Apex was resorting to cannibalism to survive. A single normal leviathan was enough to keep an Apex fed for a week, after all. Tech looked around for a way to escape desperately, eventually settling on his only Singularity Bomb, which he activated and threw as far forward as he could. He then closed his eyes and prepared for the worst. Back on the surface, Loon sat there with Ruby, both staring at the water and bubbles reaching the surface. They both sobbed, For Ruby just lost her owner, and Loon lost one of his closest friends. The grief froze them in place for a good while, until... CLAMP! The metallic jaws of a familiar, and still threatening beast shook the world.]

"Fuck.. He's gone. He died to one of those things... I told him to be careful but... He still..."

[He couldn't finish the statement. Tech was gone. The only thing left was to move on and do what he couldn't.]
